A BELOVED

A BELOVED Romans 9:23-26  Devotional:- “I will call them my people who are not my people, and her beloved who was not beloved.” (V. 25) When a man lacks true lovers around him, he is bound to go through some frustrating experiences and discouragement. During the period of challenges, you will know that even those who say they love you are rather pretenders who come around you only for what they will get from you. When a man is going through a trying situation, people you expect to come around and show some love and level of understanding sometimes desert him. If this is what is happening to you at the moment, I need to bring to your awareness that God truly loves you. He calls you his beloved. God has a special love for you. He fully demonstrated this by allowing His son to die on the cross for your sake (John 10:11). Do you know that this is not ordinary? He really loves you. He is planning for you more than you can ever imagine? Do you know that all that God is doing both ...

FACTORS OF GROWTH

FACTORS OF GROWTH

Deuteronomy 8:1-10
Dev. “So He humble you, allow you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your father’s know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord” (VS. 3)

Spiritual growth is the process of replacing lives with the truth (John 17:17). To become like Jesus we must fill our lives with his word. (2 Timothy 3:17). The word of God is powerful, so when God speak things change. To be a healthy disciple of Jesus you must feed on the word of God. This is what it mean to abide in Christ and Christ in you. This is by remaining in the word of God and obeying the word.

To abide in God’s word you must accept the authority of the word of God (John 8:31). In other words the Bible must become the standard of your life. You must make the word of God the compass for your life. The word must become the counsel you listen to for wise decision and what you use in evaluating all you do. Many of our troubles occur because we base our choices on unreliable authorities, culture (everyone is doing it), traditions (we have always been doing it), reasoning (it seems legal or reasonable) or emotion (It just feels good) (Proverbs 30:5).

To abide in the word, we must assimilate the truth. This is by accepting the word personally, read the bible, research and study the Bible. Remembering the word to always apply it in all situations and meditate or reflect on it. To be the doer of the word is to be acting out the word you meditated on. Been part of a small Bible study group may be your best opportunity to grow. Always obey God’s word. Peace!

PRAYER; Lord, plant the love to abide in your word into my hearth.
