  YOUR OPPONENTS     1 Peter 5:5-11 DEVOTIONAL:- “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (v. 8). NKJV When a man does not know his opponent, he will be totally ignorant of the way to victory. Most people always make the mistakes taking man as their enemy. As God’s children, we must come to understand that the forces against us are the forces of the devil, though they always use people. God’s word says we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities (they take territorial government), against powers (master spirit), rulers of the darkness of this age and against the spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). These are forces of God that fell with the devil, and their powers were not taken from them (Revelation 12:7-9). MADE TO GLORIFY GOD

Revelation 4:1-11
Devotional “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created” (V11)


    The first major purpose of your life is to bring glory to God [Isaiah 43:21]. That is why it is built into your sub-conscious mind to worship. When you understand the place of worshipping God in all things, you will no longer feel insignificant. Bringing glory and pleasure to God is what we called worship. God is always happy with those who worship Him [Psalm 147:11]. Please note that anything you do to bring glory, honour or pleasure to God is an act of worship. We are wired by God to worship. If you don’t worship God, you will worship yourself.

We often see some things as worship and others as none. We think we go to worship service but worship is more than just been in the church. It is a life style. Worship is more than music or a particular style of music. To some people when the music is slow down, it is worship and when it is fast, it is praises. But worship is far more than music. Worship has nothing to do with style or volume or speed of a song. God loves all kind of music because, He invented it all through us [Philippians 2:13]. You may not like all the songs but God does. The moment it is sang in Spirit and truth [John 4:23-24].

You also need to know that worship is not for our benefit or enjoyment but it belongs to God. That is why we don’t worship for our pleasure but for His pleasure (Revelation 4:11). Worship is your life. It is not just church service or songs, it is all you do. That is why we are told to worship God continually [Psalm 113:3, 34:1]. Every activities can be transformed to worship, when you do it for the praise, honour and glory of God [1 Cor. 10:31]. This is when you do it with an intention to bring glory to God. This happen in your thinking as you do anything you are doing. This is when you do all things as though for God and for His Glory [Colossians 3:23]. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me a heart of continual worship

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

ALTERNATIVES II Kings 5:1-15 Devotional:- “Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage”. (V12) NKJV      It is always the trick of the devil to make us lose sight of God. So he often makes us see alternatives to God. His own goal is to take people away from God. The enemies so much make his way look easy and quick but with eternal implications. That is why you need to grow your faith and not yield to his tricks. The devil’s alternative will always be with covenants that bind into darkness.
