  SUBMIT TO HIM John 14:12-24  “Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” (V. 23) NKJV   Sometimes on the platform of love, there is nothing men cannot offer to one another. If you truly love a man you will not want to reject or disobey him. You will want to do as much as it is in your capacity. You will not want to turn him down. Can you imagine how strictly you want to keep to an appointment with a loved one? If we have attached so much importance to responding to our lover, how much more God. If you truly love God it will be natural for you to submit to His will. You will not need to argue or ask too many questions. It will be a pleasure submitting to His will. Jesus said in the scripture we read today, if anyone loves me he will keep my words. In other word he will submit or obey my word. MAKING GOD HAPPY

Numbers 6:22-27
Devotional:- "May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you" (V25 NLT)

    One of the goals of our life is to make God happy. This is because the goal of worship is to make God happy. A man can make God happy when he pleases the Lord in all His ways. Job was a man who pleases the Lord in his life time [Job 1:8]. Noah was another man who also pleased God in his generation [Genesis 6:8]. We are living for the glory of God when we live to make God happy by pleasing the Him.

To make God happy, we must love Him supremely [Luke 14:26]. No one loved us as God does. He knows what no one knows about us that is why we must love Him more than ALL. It is possible to love God supremely when we relate closely with Him [Hosea 6:6; Matthew 22:37-38; Genesis 6:9]. To make God happy, we must learn to trust Him completely. Noah trusted Him and built an arc even on a dry land [Hebrew 11:7]. Though, he had never seen rain before yet believed God and trusted Him completely. Trusting God is an act of worship.

We make God happy, when we obey Him wholeheartedly [Genesis 6:22]. We make God happy, when we praise and thank Him continually [Psalm 69:30-31]. We make God happy, when we use our ability. Every human activity except sin can make God happy when it is with the attitude of praises. God is happy, when He sees us using our abilities for His glory [Psalm 33:15]. You bring glory to God by been you. God is happy, when you enjoy His creation [1Timothy 6:17]. God is happy, when your motive and motivation is love. Make it your goal to make God happy and you will be happy. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, make me an instrument for your joy and glory.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
