HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

PURPOSE OF HIS FAMILY

PURPOSE OF HIS FAMILY

Ephesians 2:14-22
Devotional “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,” (v. 19)

It is important you know that you are created for fellowship and formed for family. No one can fulfill the purpose of God alone. That is why God created a family for His children called the church. There will belong to one another forever [Rom 12:5]. Your earthly family cannot continue to care for you but God has made the church a place for each of us to find love for ever.

Please know that the church is not a building it is a group of people who form the body of Christ. The church is an organism and not an organization. One of the first sign of backsliding is when people start to miss fellowship. Whenever we become careless about fellowship every other thing begins to slide too. The church is so important that Jesus had to die for Her [Ephesians 5:25].The church is called the bride of Christ and you can’t tell me you love me and hate my wife as some want to hate the church today [1 Pet. 2:17]

You need a church family that you might be identified with as         believer; you need a church family that you might move out of your isolation to learn and grow with others. Your maturity is tested in the fellowship. You need a church family to discover and deploy your gifts and talents. You need a church family to motivate you into evangelism which is the commandment of Jesus [Matthew 28:19-20]. You need a church family to keep you from backsliding [Hebrews 3:13]. Gods purpose for the church is to be a place of worship to help you focus on God; fellowship to help you face life’s problems, discipleship to help you fortify your faith for victory, ministry to help you fulfill your purpose, evangelism to help you fulfill your mission on earth. True church is a place of true love, help for each other and mercy for each other.

PRAYER –Lord, help me not to be disconnected from your family.
