  SPIRIT OF JOY Galatians 5:16-26 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness” (v.22) NKJV For all men to experience an ever-flowing joy, we must first possess the spirit of joy. God is the source of joy. When He is in a man, He brings His joy along (Psalm 16:11). Since God is a Spirit, He can only be with men by dwelling in them. When the spirit of God dwells in a man, he will experience unlimited joy. One of the most neglected exercises in the church is people receiving the Holy Spirit. Most Christians look for one excuse or the other to neglect the Holy Spirit in their life. Sometimes people feel the Holy Spirit is not that necessary. Some people feel it is an old way of following the Lord. But you need to know that if you lack the Spirit of God, God’s word says that you are none of His own (Romans 8:9). WHEN GOD SEEMS DISTANT

Isaiah 8:11-18
Dev. “And I will wait on the LORD, Who hides His face from the house of Jacob; And I will hope in Him” (V.17)


    God is real no matter how anyone feels. Since we are made to worship God whether it is going well or not we must always give all the glory to Him. It is easy to worship God when things are going well, but situations are not always pleasant. That is why we must learn to always give God glory in all situations. The richest of worship is during pains or trails. We must learn to trust God, surrender and love God when we don’t feel his presence.

In our scripture today the man of God said ‘’I will trust and place my trust in Him even when God is hidden‘’. True friendship is often tested by distance and inability to communicate. It takes close time and distant time to grow relationship. That is why to mature your relationship with God He will test you with period of seeming separation, feeling abandoned or forgotten. In such times we easily feel we must have offended God but there is nothing really wrong with you. It is just a time of test and maturing your relationship with God [Psalm 43:2, Job 23:8-10]. God wants to test whether you will continue to love, trust, obey and worship Him. That is why when you don’t have the feeling of his presence, just worship Him. It is wrong to be seeking for feelings or experience in worship but God.

When you are a new Christian God gives you emotional feelings of his presence and instant answers to prayers but not always so as you grow. So in such times learn to ‘’tell God exactly how you feel ‘’ [Job 29:4]. Focus on who God is i.e. “His unchanging nature” Trust God to keep His promises [Job 23:12]. “Remember all He has done for you” [Psalm 103:2, 2 Corinthians 5:21]. Jesus gave up everything so that you can have it all. Worship Him. 

PRAYER—Lord, help me to love and worship you notwithstanding.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
