  TIME OF CELEBRATION  2 Samuel 6:11-23 Devotional:- “Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod” (V. 14) NKJV As much as this season is tagged with much celebration, the enemy often tries to see how he could poison the joy of many people to remove them from the list of people who will celebrate. It will be wisdom for you to know that happiness and sorrow are a choice. I will advise you to choose to rejoice in hope and leave sorrow for the enemy (Romans 5:22). In the scripture we read today, David and all the people were in a mood of celebration because of the advent of the ark of the Lord. But a lady could not see what was worth celebrating, and she took offence at David’s elegant celebration. And she remains barren till her death. Friend, if the coming of the ark of the Lord is sufficient to lose celebration, how much more the coming of Christ, the Son of God. Don’t let the devil push you to sorrow corner in a time like this. WHEN GOD SEEMS DISTANT

Isaiah 8:11-18
Dev. “And I will wait on the LORD, Who hides His face from the house of Jacob; And I will hope in Him” (V.17)


    God is real no matter how anyone feels. Since we are made to worship God whether it is going well or not we must always give all the glory to Him. It is easy to worship God when things are going well, but situations are not always pleasant. That is why we must learn to always give God glory in all situations. The richest of worship is during pains or trails. We must learn to trust God, surrender and love God when we don’t feel his presence.

In our scripture today the man of God said ‘’I will trust and place my trust in Him even when God is hidden‘’. True friendship is often tested by distance and inability to communicate. It takes close time and distant time to grow relationship. That is why to mature your relationship with God He will test you with period of seeming separation, feeling abandoned or forgotten. In such times we easily feel we must have offended God but there is nothing really wrong with you. It is just a time of test and maturing your relationship with God [Psalm 43:2, Job 23:8-10]. God wants to test whether you will continue to love, trust, obey and worship Him. That is why when you don’t have the feeling of his presence, just worship Him. It is wrong to be seeking for feelings or experience in worship but God.

When you are a new Christian God gives you emotional feelings of his presence and instant answers to prayers but not always so as you grow. So in such times learn to ‘’tell God exactly how you feel ‘’ [Job 29:4]. Focus on who God is i.e. “His unchanging nature” Trust God to keep His promises [Job 23:12]. “Remember all He has done for you” [Psalm 103:2, 2 Corinthians 5:21]. Jesus gave up everything so that you can have it all. Worship Him. 

PRAYER—Lord, help me to love and worship you notwithstanding.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
