TAKE NO OFFENCE Luke 7:18-30 Devotional:- “And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me” (v.23) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional TAKE NO OFFENCE Support Us Luke 7:18-30 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com Sometimes, men easily get offended. That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

STRENGTH IN YOUR WEAKNESSES

STRENGTH IN YOUR WEAKNESSES

2 Corinthians 13:1-6
Devotional “For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you. (V.4)

Everyone has weakness in all spheres of life. In fact, each of us has a bundle of flaws and imperfection physically and spiritually. What matter most is what we do with them. Normally, we often want to deny, defend, hide, resent and give excuses about them. But that way God will not be able to use them for our benefit (Proverb 28:13). God do not want to use only our strength but also our meanness for His Glory (1 Corinthians 1:27). Realize God want to bless the weak (Matthew 5:3) Note that it is the first thing God bless.

When we think of the limitations in our lives, we may be tempted to conclude “God cannot use people like me” But God is not limited by our limitations. Sincerely, He enjoys putting His great power into ordinary vessels. For God to use you, notwithstanding, you need to sincerely admit your weaknesses. Stop pretending and be honest about yourself. God is going to use you when you know who God is and know who you are.

For God to use you notwithstanding, you must be relaxed with your weaknesses. Don't be troubled about them (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). That will make you depend on God; that will also prevent arrogance (2 Corinthians 12:7). It will serve as instrument of check and balance for you in life. It will let you see a need for fellowship with other believers. Your weaknesses will help you sympathies with others (Hebrews 4:15) For God to use your weaknesses, you must honestly share your failure (Romans 7:19), your feelings (1 Corinthians 16:11), your frustrations (2 Corinthians 1:8) and your fears (2 Corinthians 12:5) with mature believers who can encourage you. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be sincere with myself
