JOYFUL MAN  Ephesians 5:25-33 Devotional:- “So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself” (V. 28) NKJV Love is the summary of the great responsibility God has given to a man who wants to be happy in his home. Love is the attitude of the matured. Loving does not mean that all will be well. Loving your spouse is the act of molding and raising her for the best. That is why love in the family either to the spouse or the children should be with positive education (Ephesians 4:13-15). But love interprets so many things. Love is sacrificing time, money and self. It is creating time, money and self to help and build a united and happy home. Where there is love, there will be honour, which is the major weapon to win your wife (1 Peter 3:7). GREATNESS

GREATNESS

Read: Mark 10:35-45
Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant (Vs. 43).

In the kingdom of the world, greatness is achieved by acquiring certain volume of wealth or having affluence for influence. In our political world today, if anyone does not have affluence, it will not be easy for him or her to have influence to win an election.

Jesus taught the disciples about the way to greatness in the kingdom of God. That way is by our service. That is, humbling oneself to serve others. Service is taking a low place so as to use your talent to bless others. Service is laboring to make others become what God wants them to be by the grace of God which He has given you. Service is using your time and energy to raise others.

When people serve, they work for God either in the house, office or in the house of the Lord. As they serve, they are investing their seeds for great harvest. Service is using your opportunity to enhance the lifting of others. As you serve, God will remember you in the shortest of time. Anytime God is looking for people to lift up, He always looks for people in service (1 Samuel 16:1,11). Service becomes rewardable when it is unto the Lord and not unto man, money or materials (Ephesians 6:7). Find a place to serve both in the church office and in your community. As you do that, soon your lifting will come. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, I receive the grace to be humble and to serve.
