CONDEMNATION

CONDEMNATION Romans 8:1-8 Devotional:- “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit” (v.1) NKJV Condemnation is often mistakenly taken as one of the behaviours of the righteous, and by it, the enemy often steals the joy of many. What most people feel like expressing is the fact that being sober brings us to a time of quality self-examination. But this has nothing to do with condemnation (2 Corinthians 7:10). It is actually the enemy that is making us feel we are not fit to live in God’s presence. It’s all together the trick of the devil to steal our joy. In the scripture we read today, the Bible says we are no longer to be condemned. Condemnation is a legal term applicable to an accused who is guilty of a crime. But Christ has taken all we are supposed to take on the cross. If you have to suffer for your sin, then the death of Christ is in vain. God’s word says we have been justified ...

A HUNDRED FOLD

A HUNDRED FOLD

Read: Mark 10:29-31
Who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time - houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions - and in the age to come, eternal life (Vs. 30).

The kingdom of God is a kingdom of covenants. A covenant is a legal agreement sealed by blood. One of the reasons Jesus shed His blood was to seal up the word of God for the benefit of all believers (Heb. 9:16-18). One of such covenants which believers have in the word of God is a hundred fold covenants.

Jesus says, whatever is sown to the Lord and His kingdom will come back in a hundred fold. This is an assurance to give us rest of mind whenever we obey Him. A Hundred fold is a 100% return. It’s not common to find a sure business of a 100% return in this world but that is our heritage in God. It’s an everlasting covenant. It is not the type that will change with inflation or economic recession.

That is why you should let your faith in God make you give with joy. (2 Corinthians 9:7). Give bountiful offerings and sow your tithes with joy in anticipation of God’s blessings (2 Corinthians 9:6). If God has been faithful from the ages past, He will be faithful even now and to the end. Your reward will surely come in Jesus’ name. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, let my reward come
