JOY IN TRUSTING GOD

JOY IN TRUSTING GOD Proverbs 16:16-26 Devotional:- “He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he” (V. 20) NKJV Living in doubts, fears, and anxieties cause sadness and sorrows in the lives of people. Sometimes it’s so bad that it leads to depression and ill health. One of the reasons for this is often our inability to trust God in times of need. Whenever there is a delay in our expectations, we easily struggle with our relationship with God.  But when a man trusts in the Lord, he will not see the troubles around, he will only see the promises of God that can never fail; and that will bring great joy, peace and happiness. People around him will wonder what is giving him such joy even in the face of imminent challenges. Beloved God loves you. He cares about you. He has promised to help you (Isaiah 41:10). When you allow Him in your heart, you cannot lose your joy (Psalm 16:11). This is because wherever Jesus is dwelling, joy will alw...

THE KING’S PARTY

THE KING’S PARTY

Read: Luke 14:15-24
But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ (Vs. 18)

Citizens of the kingdom of God are faithful and loyal followers of Christ. We know that our lives belong to Him and we are not of ourself. Obedience to God is paramount, above money, business and even our lives. When He instructs us, nothing in this world should be considered as being more important (Matthew 7:24). This is because He has the best plan for us (Jeremiah 29:11). His understanding is far more than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Jesus gave a parable of how a king made ready a party, but the invited guests began to make excuses. They allowed material things (the things of this world) to hinder them from enjoying eternity with God.

Please, understand that God’s instruction is for your best (Isaiah 1:19 NIV). Stop seeing God as a religious-being who you only go to when you are in need of Him. God made you for Himself (Isaiah 43:21). You need Him to find success and fulfillment in this world (John 15:5). Learn to always submit to His instructions and you will be above the powers of the enemy (James 4:7). You will also be lifted (James 4:10). Walking in wisdom will be very easy for you (Matthew 7:24). Peace!

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to always obey you
