MATURE CLASS

MATURE CLASS I Corinthians 13:9-13 Devotional:- “When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things” (v.11) NLT I have observed that it is not everyone that can truly love. This is because it is a character for a person in a class. I have seen some men taking pride in beating their wives. I have heard many women proudly saying that they cannot stay under any man. And they do not feel ashamed that at their age, they couldn’t manage a home. The truth is that, if you cannot rise and manage a home, it is a sign that you cannot manage a greater thing that God would have loved to give to you (1 Timothy 3:5). When people give excuses of the reason why they cannot love, you will easily recognise their immaturity. Friend, you should feel ashamed if there is always noise of a fight coming from your apartment. And so many times, people, including the pagans, often come around to judge you and people, bashing and mocking...

THE NATURE OF CHILDREN

THE NATURE OF CHILDREN

Read: Matthew 18:1-5
And said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.  (Vs. 3)

When Jesus likened the kingdom of God to the life of a child, He did not intend that we should remain as children and not be matured. Rather, He wanted to teach us some of the characteristics of children which are similar to the lifestyle of the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 14:20).

Every child depends on his parents, and God wants us to depend on and trust in Him like children do (Psalm 125:1). Children always inform their parents about things and receive instruction on all they are to do. So because the Holy Spirit is in us, God wants us to consult Him always (Proverbs 3:5-6). A child easily forgives and God wants us to forgive like little children (Matthew 6:14). A child, when wrong is disciplined. He never thinks of changing his parents because of that.  In the same way, we should turn to God no matter the situation we find ourselves or whatever He asks us to do (Hebrews 12:4-6).

A faithful child always honors his parents. For this reason, God expects us to honor Him always (Malachi 1:6). All believers need to be meek, teachable and correctable. As a child, trust and believe in God for all His promises concerning your life, family, business, marriage, health, etc (Romans 10:11). Wait patiently on Him with understanding. He is a faithful God. He is a good father and He can never fail you. Be a faithful son or daughter to Him and this year, He will prove His faithfulness in your life.

Declaration: I am in good hands with Jesus.

“YOU NEED TO BE HUMBLE AS A CHILD TO HAVE THE BEST OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD”
