HOPING IN GOD

HOPING IN GOD Psalms 71:4-14  Devotional:- “For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth” (V.5) NKJV In today's world, many people are finding it difficult to put their hope in God. This is because they have waited for a few times, which to them is rather too long (Proverbs 13:12). And now they’ve made their calculation that if they have hoped in God for these three years and nothing is coming forth, then what is the need for continuing to hope? It is why many people in civilised nations have been living their lives unwilling to carry God along. We often forget that without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). Everything we can do or shall do should be by His permission. The most common error among Christians is that we often don’t understand the power of hope or the difference between hope and faith. Hope is consistently keeping in mind the promises God has made to us, because we know He can do what He has promised (Hebrews 10:23). This helps us grow in wis...

THE NATURE OF CHILDREN

THE NATURE OF CHILDREN

Read: Matthew 18:1-5
And said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.  (Vs. 3)

When Jesus likened the kingdom of God to the life of a child, He did not intend that we should remain as children and not be matured. Rather, He wanted to teach us some of the characteristics of children which are similar to the lifestyle of the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 14:20).

Every child depends on his parents, and God wants us to depend on and trust in Him like children do (Psalm 125:1). Children always inform their parents about things and receive instruction on all they are to do. So because the Holy Spirit is in us, God wants us to consult Him always (Proverbs 3:5-6). A child easily forgives and God wants us to forgive like little children (Matthew 6:14). A child, when wrong is disciplined. He never thinks of changing his parents because of that.  In the same way, we should turn to God no matter the situation we find ourselves or whatever He asks us to do (Hebrews 12:4-6).

A faithful child always honors his parents. For this reason, God expects us to honor Him always (Malachi 1:6). All believers need to be meek, teachable and correctable. As a child, trust and believe in God for all His promises concerning your life, family, business, marriage, health, etc (Romans 10:11). Wait patiently on Him with understanding. He is a faithful God. He is a good father and He can never fail you. Be a faithful son or daughter to Him and this year, He will prove His faithfulness in your life.

Declaration: I am in good hands with Jesus.
