That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

ACCESSING THE KINGDOM

ACCESSING THE KINGDOM

Read: John 3:1-7
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (Vs. 5)

Towns and cities differ in nature, customs, tradition and practices. What is right in one country may be wrong in another. That is why we need to learn about the nature of the kingdom of God. This is vital so that we can freely operate in it as citizens.

Jesus taught in the Scripture we read today that, what gives a man the right of citizenship to the kingdom of God is being born again. It is becoming a territory for God because all men became territories for the devil through Adam (1 Corinthians 15:22). This is because we were formerly born of flesh and blood of man. The spirit of the flesh which we inherited from our parents is full of deficiencies and troubles. Water as referred to by Jesus, means the word of God (Isaiah 55:10-11). The Spirit here means the Holy Spirit. This begins as we believe and confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior (Romans 10:10). You will keep getting stronger in the spirit as you keep hearing the word of God (John 6:63, Ezekiel 2:2).

As we read, hear and meditate on the word of God, our lives begin to look like that of Jesus (getting transformed - 2 Corinthians 3:18, John 15:3). So, the forces you run from in the past will now begin to flee from you because you now reflect the image of Jesus, the son of God. Don’t ever play with your time to study the word of God and you will start reflecting the glory of God. Peace!

Prayer: Jesus, come and live in my heart totally from today.
