  OUR REDEEMER Colossians 2:9-18  Devotional:- “In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”(V. 14) No life living under the power of curses can by any means prosper. This is because curses have the power to destroy the strength to prosper. When it is said that a man is cursed, it means a word was spoken to him, and this word follows him to pull him down wherever he goes. You need to know that the Word often became flesh to follow people (John 1:14). So it often stands as a spirit assigned to follow men about. So when a man is cursed, it is under a monitoring spirit that destroys his help, favour and success. But we have this great love of God demonstrated to us in Christ Jesus. Jesus came to redeem us from the curses ofthe law. In other words, He has come to set us free from the slavery of sin and Satan. To redeem means to set free or buy back from the slave market. TRUE LOVE

TRUE LOVE                    

Read: Luke 10:25-37
So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him (Vs. 34).

 

    No one can enjoy the blessings of the kingdom of God without living in the true love of Christ. The true love of Christ is experienced when you go out of your personal way to be of help to another person as the Lord lays it in your heart.
 
    We can see in the parable of the kingdom of God concerning a man who was in a helpless situation, wounded by some thieves. They had robbed him of his goods and left him with nothing. Many people who passed by the scene saw the helpless man but had no love to come to his rescue. A Samaritan with a heart of love came to his rescue and was eventually entitled to God’s blessings.
 
    Friend, you must be willing to live in love if you want to enjoy the blessings of the kingdom of God. Love is a single attitude that approves a man before God (Matthew 22:37-40). Everyone is looking for love and even God wants man to love Him. That is why He sowed His seed of love to reap our love (John 3:16). You also must learn to do likewise. Let the Holy Spirit guide your heart to sow the seed of love and you will find the manifestation of the love of God in your life. Peace!
 
Prayer: Lord, plant the spirit of genuine love in my heart
 
“IF YOU WANT LOVE, SOW LOVE”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
