DON'T HATE

DON’T HATE Matthew 5:43-48  Devotional:- “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (V. 44) NKJV The subject of love is not always easy to practise between you, and those who have shown themselves as committed enemies. Those who will openly stand against you. Those who just hate you for no reason. Those who don’t pray that anything good should happen to you. Yet the Bible gave us a commandment in the midst of it all to love and never to hate them. What a great task! But until a Christian grows to this level, he cannot actually be called mature. The way to handle it is that we should bless those who curse us. Always do good to those who hate you. If they are moved by the spirit in them to do evil to you, be moved by the Spirit in you to love them. We cannot truly say we love till we can prayerfully demonstrate the character of love. LOVE AND RESTORATION

LOVE AND RESTORATION

Read: Luke 15:11-32
For this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry. (Vs. 24)

The God of this kingdom is love personified (1 John 4:7-8). That is, He Himself is love. Citizens of the kingdom of God always enjoy the demonstration of the love of God. This love attitude of God makes us enjoy forgiveness of our sins and restoration to fellowship with Him. This is not a practice in the other kingdom.

We read today about the parable of a lost son. We are used to call him the prodigal son. This parable relays the attitude of the love of God to us. It demonstrates how God allows us to make mistakes, repent of them and eventually accepts us when we return to Him.

The prodigal son demanded for his right from the father. This is how we ought to ask things from God in prayers for He always answer our prayers (Matthew 7:7-12). He has covenanted Himself to us to do so. So, be bold to always turn to Him in prayers, making your requests known to Him (Mark 11:24). In his suffering, he came back to his senses (Luke 15:17). He humbled himself, made up his mind and went back to the father to ask for mercy. Whenever you are away from God and you feel the pains, return to Him with a sincere heart and you will find forgiveness (1 John 1:7-9) and God will fully restore your joy (Ps. 51:12). Grace and strength in God can be restored. I see your joy come back to you. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, restore all that I have lost in Christ

“IN GOD, ALL THINGS CAN BE RESTORED”
