OVERFLOWING PROSPERITY

OVERFLOWING PROSPERITY Zechariah 1:13-21 Devotional:- “Again proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The LORD will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem'"” (V.17) NKJV At the end of the year, God intends to prosper and supply you with great and pleasant riches (Psalms 65:11). When someone is not prospering in life, everything about him will look odd. When a person is not prosperous, there are so many things responsible. It might be that he is not working in God’s knowledge and understanding; it could also be that he is not working in God’s covenant. This is paying your tithe, offering, blessing the poor, and taking care of your parent, children and men of God. It could also be that he is not faithful to his staff. Such disobedience makes God remove man’s prosperity and set a devourer to his life till he learn his lesson (Joel 2:25, Haggai 1:6-11). But the word of God is powerful, sharper tha...

BEARING FRUITS

BEARING FRUITS

Read: John 15:1-8
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (Vs.5)

There are many parables through which Jesus illustrates what the kingdom of God is. These parables have to do with sowing of seeds (Mark 4:27, Luke 8:5). From these, we are already informed that there would be fruits.
Jesus says “I have sent you to bear fruits” (John 15:16). He said that anyone who does not bear fruits shall be cut away (John 15:2). Whoever does not bear fruits shall lose the kingdom of God (Mark 21:43). That is why you and I must be fruit-bearing Christians.

The fruits of this kingdom are fruits of repentance unto God (Matthew 3:8). They are fruits of righteousness (Matthew 7:20). The fruits are fruits of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5: 22-23) which are all fruits of godliness and wisdom of God. They also involve fruits of restful service in the house of God and fruits of soul winning (Matthew 24:45-46).

To bear these fruits, we must abide in Christ by always being conscious of His presence with us and doing His will (John 15:5). We will be able to bear fruits by acknowledging Him for divine direction and obedience (Prov. 3:5-6). We will be able to bear these fruits when we always deny ourselves to minister the gospel to others and bring them to Christ. A fruit-bearing Christian will always bring glory to God. He will always enjoy grace for more in his lifetime. Also, he will have his prayers answered. Receive grace to bear fruits in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Lord, make me a fruitful Christian.
