SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. RIGHTEOUSNESS

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Read:    Romans 14:14-23
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (v. 17)
So many people are called Christians without them actually having a proper understanding of the kingdom to which they belong. Please, stop operating ignorantly with God (Hosea 4:6). This is one of the major reasons many suffer.

It is important for you know that the kingdom of God is not where you do whatever you like. It is a kingdom based on righteousness (I Corinthians 6:9). What others struggle for will be easily accessible to your life as a citizen of this kingdom but you must first walk in righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Sin makes people to become citizens of the kingdom of the devil (I John 3:8-9).

Righteousness is very easy to attain. It means standing right with God. That is, standing where God is standing in every situation. As a citizen of any nation, you are expected to be patriotic to get the best of your nation. The same is with God’s kingdom. All you need to do is to always acknowledge Him by asking Him what His will is in all situations (Proverbs 3:5-6). Always do what He wants you to do no matter how foolish it may be to human understanding (John 8:29). Also, know that His ways are different from the ways of men (Isaiah 55:8-9). That is why you must know how to hear from Him. As you do that, your life will be heaven on earth. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to always please You.
