Humility is given birth to by wisdom. It is an act of seeing oneself as not higher than others. Pride is the feeling of superiority and arrogance. These two are products of the mind. Someone who sees himself already at the top or already at the climax is proud. While a humble person feels he is yet to get to his best and so humbles himself to keep moving on. 

Humility will help you to keep learning. It will help the state of your mind to be rightly positioned for God’s lifting (James 4:10). It helps your words to be words that can earn you favours before God and man. It will help you destroy self-ego and make you far from arrogance. As a seed of favour, it gives you a portion on the earth. (Matthew 5:5). 

Even though this generation does not cherish humility any longer, you will be wise to take it as a way of life. This doesn’t make you stupid, but it helps you compose and position yourself for God’s blessings. What the devil wanted to get by raising himself above God, which led to his falling forever, Jesus was able to get with humility (Philippians 2:5-11). Follow the example of Jesus. It may not look rewarding now, but the end will justify the means. Take to humility; take to wisdom. 

Prayer: Lord, give me the wisdom of humility

“PRIDE LEADS TO DESTRUCTION WHILE HUMILITY LEADS TO DISTINCTION”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

  DOMINION   Psalms 8:1-9 Devotional:- “You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (V. 6) NKJV      At creation, man was given dominion over all that God created. This office was at that time a terrifying one for other creatures and even the devil. (Psalms 8.6; Psalms 110:1-3). It was this office that the devil was after that he had to deceive man and steal. You will observe that man was the last creature of God (Genesis 1:26). Yet he was made to have dominion over all that existed before him. The devil saw this as partiality on the side of God. He did not know that though man was the last creation yet the finest. The man was finally created to be in charge of all creation.
