Genesis 39:1-6

Service is one of the major prices for greatness. It is an act of labouring to help and assist others. It is an act of helping others to increase and you also increase. It is an act of labouring to help others and receiving your wages. Everyone who desires to be great must be ready to serve. Jesus said Whoever desires to be great among you should be your servant, and whoever desires to be first shall be the slave of all (Mark 10:44-45). 

This looks like a conflicting idea, but God’s way to the top is down. That is why he said humble your self for God to lift you in season (1 Peter 5:6). You need to know that the reward of faithfulness is not just the wages of men but the lifting of God. In some cases, people may not pay you enough for your service, but you keep on serving faithfully. It might even look as if you are exhausting your strength on people who do not even appreciate it. Don’t worry. You are emptying yourself to be freshly filled by God. Your williness to serve is an attitude that will attract those who will be able to reward you. Just as God saw David in the bush, and God brought him to the throne and as Joseph’s service brought him promotion to become an overseer in his master's house. God sees you, and He will lift you too in due season. Be sure you are profit oriented as you serve. If only you won’t grow weary, your reward will soon come (Galatians 6:9). God has not forgotten you. Keep serving faithfully. Your lifting will come. 

Prayer: Lord, help me to keep building skill and connections as I serve.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

  DOMINION   Psalms 8:1-9 Devotional:- “You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (V. 6) NKJV      At creation, man was given dominion over all that God created. This office was at that time a terrifying one for other creatures and even the devil. (Psalms 8.6; Psalms 110:1-3). It was this office that the devil was after that he had to deceive man and steal. You will observe that man was the last creature of God (Genesis 1:26). Yet he was made to have dominion over all that existed before him. The devil saw this as partiality on the side of God. He did not know that though man was the last creation yet the finest. The man was finally created to be in charge of all creation.
