Proverbs 6:6-11

When we sleep, our mind and body get readjusted and are made ready for the next day. This is good, and it is called rest. But our period of sleep can also become a hindrance to our destiny and bring a total stop to advancement in life. God’s word says there is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3: 1). May I let you know that there is no one who doesn’t love to sleep and sleep and sleep, except those who want to succeed. Some people have become professionals in sleeping. They can sleep eighteen hours per day, and they will even be proud to share the testimony (Proverbs 20:13)

I don’t think the world of sport will be ready to pay a professional sleeper. Friend, sleep can be a destroyer. Sleep adequately as you are suppose, and mind the hours of your sleep. Give a good time to your work and studies. Money cannot pay for your time. Do you know that if you sleep ten hours a day and you are going to live seventy years on earth, that means you have given almost 30 years to sleep? Tell me, how are you going to fulfil your destiny? Some take a morning dose, afternoon and at night for the grand finale of their sleep. This is sleep abuse.

Watch out; else you spend your productive time in bed. Destiny may slip away from you. So discipline yourself, and you will find the ability and strength in you. Your destiny is more important than what sleep should slide down. So, build up for this

Prayer: Lord, help me not to sleep away my destiny

“IT IS GOOD TO REST, BUT IT IS NOT WISE TO BE A SLEEPER”.
