HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

GOD OF NEW THINGS

GOD OF NEW THINGS

Isaiah 43:11-21
Devotional:- Behold, I will do a new thing… I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (V. 19)

Change is possible with God. Though He does not change, His programs are not static. He is a dynamic God. He is a God of several opportunities. He is a God of another chance. He can bring a change. Some events in life are unchangeable or irreversible. Even if they ended up their effect will continue to be there but God is a God of new things.

In the scriptures we read today, God said we should forget the formal things. He is about to start a new program in your life. It will not be natural for a man to erase the memories of the past. Yet God said we should expect His power for new things. I would like you to believe Him for His word.

One day came and He began to do something new in the life of Joseph (Genesis 40,41), He also started a completely new program with Moses from the time He called Him to His service. David the poor shepherd boy experiences a new beginning when God located him for the kingship office. That same God is alive forever.

You might have been experiencing so much of confrontational challenges that have made the situation worse. But God is about starting something new and different. Just forget the past, i.e., put it behind you so that you may not miss the instruction for a better future. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to believe you afresh.
