THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. PRESENCE OF GOD

PRESENCE OF GOD

Genesis 28:10-22
Devotional:- “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land: for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you”(v.15)

God is not just present everywhere; His presence is always available, particularly with His people. He said wherever two or three of us may be He will always be there (Matthew 18:20). He has promised never to live nor forsake His children (Hebrews 13:5). It means His presence thus not depart as we always think. It is only our iniquity that can separate us from Him (Isaiah 59:2).

At the time Jacob was running away from his brother Esau, he never could imagine that God was with him. He felt he had offended his brother, forgetting that the brother had sold his birthright to him and God was in no way offended since it is by His covenant (Genesis 25:23). As Jacob lay down to rest in his journey, God gave him a revelation of His presence. And God gave him a covenant.

Friend, the covenant is also for you. God said He would not leave you until He has fulfilled all His promises concerning you. Wherever you are, His presence will be there with you. Either you are in motion or on a spot. That is why you will surely prosper because His presence comes with joy and pleasure (Psalm 16:11). And He will surely see you through your challenges.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always be conscious of your presence.

“GOD‘S PRESENCE WILL SURELY PRESERVE AND PROSPER YOU”
