  JOYFUL COMPANION  Luke 1:37-45 Devotional:- “For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy” (v.44) NKJV We must know that sooner or later, we will always look like the people we are moving with. God’s word says, he that walks with the wise shall be wise and the companion of fools shall be destroyed (Proverbs 13:20). This means that what we gain from the surroundings of our associates has a very strong influence upon our life. If a man walks with people who don’t know or appreciate joy, he may not also experience joy. We read about the visitation of Mary to Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist. Since two of them carry unique children of divine significance, they both have the Spirit of God in them. This brings about a joyful effect. WORSHIP

John 4:19-26
Devotional:- “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (v. 24) NKJV

    For a believer to relate more and more closely with the Holy Spirit, one of the avenue that is vital is worship God. Since God is a spirit, then, you can only worship Him in the spirit. Worship is therefore only possible when we learn to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us to the father.

To worship God in spirit and in truth demands that we first understand the truth about God. The truth about God is what the Bible says about Him, because, the word of God is truth (John 17:17). The word of God tells us that God is the almighty God (Genesis-8:1). He is the God of glory (Acts 7:2). He is the father of light (James1:17). He is a wonderful and marvellous God. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the everlasting father (Isaiah 9:6; Revelation 17:14) etc. This truth then forms the basis on which you imagine God in your spirit as you behold Him with the eye of your spirit man.

Every time you worship God in spirit and truth, if you draw close to Him and He will draw close to you (Psalm 100:4, James 4:8). This makes your relationship with Him more cordial. Peace!

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, teach me to worship the father in truth

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
