THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. BAPTISM

BAPTISM

Act 2:1-12
Devotional:- “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (v. 4) NKJV

For anyone to start to experience the benefit and the blessings of the Holy Spirit, he/she must experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said to the disciples that they have to wait till they were baptized with the Holy Spirit (Act 1:5-8). Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an experience in filling of the Holy Spirit. It is to be immersed into the spirit and the spirit into you (John 15:5).

This is an experience of the Holy Spirit filling you up. This was the encounter that the apostles experienced that gave them a total turn around in their life and ministry. If any believer has not experienced this, he/she may not be experiencing the blessing of the Lord.

To be baptized in the Holy Spirit, you must take time out to ask Him to fill you up and He will fill you up (Luke 11:13). It demands a thirsty heart (John 7:37-39). It demand faith in God's faithfulness (Luke 11:13) When the Holy Spirit has filled you up you will experience speaking an unknown tongue (Act 2:4). A believer that is filled with the spirits needs a continuous filling and refilling (Act 2:4; 4:31). Peace.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, fill me afresh today.

“UNTIL A MAN IS BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, HE CAN NOT BE CALLED A SON OF GOD”
