  GOOD SPOUSE 1 Corinthians 7:1-5 Devotional:- “Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband” (v.3) NKJV One of the greatest places where God expects love to be demonstrated is in the family, and most strongly between the husband and wife. It is a pity that this generation does not have many spouses enjoying true love in their relationships. Many have turned the home into a children-producing factory, and there is nothing strong that ties them together. And today, men can no longer understand the purpose of God for instituting marriage. The scripture we read today gives us some great instruction for our distinction in this world of destruction. God’s word says, "Each should render to one another due affection." Affection is love. God expects you to love each other (1 John 4:7). It is as you love each other that the atmosphere is created for God to mend and amend things in the house. Understand that the word 'love'...

ETERNAL SPIRIT

Hebrews 9:11-15
Devotional:- “how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?“ (V. 14)

    The Holy Spirit is eternal. That is, He has been before any other spirit existed and He will continue to be, when there is no other Spirit. This means He is older and greater than any other spirit in existence. He is the Spirit of the eternal God who has been in existence in the dateless past and will continue to be when there will be no more time or calendar.

The Holy Spirit is the giver of eternal life (John 6:53-54) only those who are baptized in the Holy Spirit have eternal life. Eternal life is God's kind of life. There are animal lives, and there are human lives and there is God’s life. The God’s kind of life is what is referred to as eternal life. That is why Jesus offered himself through the eternal Spirit. Only the eternal Spirit can defile death and make a man to be back to life (Romans 8:11). This is because eternal life can not be terminated by death.

Friend, without the Holy Spirit, rapture or resurrection to go with Christ will be impossible. That is why you can't just play with the issue of the Holy Spirit the giver of eternal life (John 7:37-39, John 3:16) Let him rule over your heart and eternal life will begin with you from now till eternity. Peace!

Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me never to miss your eternal life

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
