GROWING

GROWING Ephesians 4:9-16 Devotional:- “But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head of Christ” (V. 15) God’s plan and desire is that we grow up. So many Christian today are growing older but not growing up. Many are stocked in perpetual spiritual infancy. This is because they never intend to grow. Spiritual growth is not automatic, it takes intentional commitment. You must want to grow, decide to grow, make an effort and persist in growing. Discipleship is the process of becoming like Christ (Matthew 10:25). In your spiritual growth, God has a part and you have a part. To be Christ-like you will need to make Christ like choices and depend on the Holy Spirit to help you fulfill those choices. The moment you are ready, you will need to let go of some old routines and develop some new habits. You will need to intentionally change the way you are thinking (Philippians 2:12-13). To work out your salvation with fear and trembling means to take you...

GOD IN US

GOD IN US

1 Corinthians 3:9-17
Devotional:- “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”  (V. 16)

It is very important that you as a Spirit filled believer get to know that God is in you. The Holy Spirit has been given to us to abide in us (John 14:16). Since the day you welcome Jesus into your life, and He came in, the Holy Spirit has been at work in you (1 Corinthians 12:3). When a believer is baptized with the Holy Spirit, He comes in His fullness to indwell. That is why the Holy Spirit is God in us.

It therefore become an issue that needs to be queried because if God be in you, why do you now go through all kinds of pain? This is simply because you have not given Him His place in your life. You have not allowed Him to function in you. He does many times participated in your lives affairs, but you did not even know because you do not know Him. If He is allowed consciously, you will be a thousand times different.

To start enjoying the Holy Spirit at work in you demands that you start to fellowship with Him. Create time to worship the Father regularly in the Spirit (John 4:24). Always communicate with Him by asking for His help and direction (John 14:16). Then, you will start to see His power at work in you and with you. Peace.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, help me to be revived by relating with you.

“GOD IN YOU IS THE HOPE OF GREATNESS”
