JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

NEED FOR WISDOM.

NEED FOR WISDOM.

Proverbs 9: 1-12
Devotional: -“If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, And if you scoff, you will bear it alone." (V. 12)

Life without wisdom is life without meaning. So many faithful followers of Christ today are just suffering for nothing. They have prayed and fasted but lack good result and it is simply because wisdom is lacking in their lives. The biggest problem of many people is that, they don't know that they lack it. And it is the work of the devil to darken the mind of people in this world (Ephesians 4: 18). God's word gives us the task of asking wisdom from God but some don't even know what wisdom is all about (James 1: 5).

The book of wisdom says, if you are wise, you are wise for yourself. This is because we are the one who need wisdom. So, if you look for it, it is for your gain. God is the giver of wisdom and from Him comes understanding (Ecclesiastes 2:26). If anyone does not take time to seek wisdom and get it, he/she will have himself/herself to blame. Wisdom is the fear of God. It is the fear of God to depart from evil (Job 28:28).

Without wisdom, no man can truly succeed. If you tend to correct some people, they will resist you (Proverbs 4:7-8). The evil of foolishness is the devil making man feels "They want to deceive you ooo". As we grow in life, we tend to realize many things we have done wrongly. Let us give attention to searching the wisdom of God for living. Then, we shall find the way of God to advance and succeed. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me a heart for wisdom.
