  NEVER FORGOTTEN Isaiah 49:13-23  Devotional:- “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you” (V. 15) NKJV Delays in some situations of life could sometimes make one feel forgotten. This could make anyone feel neglected and hated. Have you ever been in a situation where everyone was served but you alone were forgotten? This could bring a big embarrassment. But God cannot make such a mistake. Before He began serving, you were the one in His mind. His mind is filled with the memory of your love.  The scripture we read today says, even if a mother forgets to nurse her child, which I think is impossible, God said He cannot forget you. If a woman, for example, is far away from a child which has not been weaned, two of them will not find it easy. The baby will soon be crying, and the mother’s breast will soon be heavy and painful.  THE CHILD JESUS


Luke 2:41-52
Devotional:- “And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them” (V. 51) KJV.

Contrary to the right principle of life, the young people of this generation have started embarking on what may not profit their future. God’s Word say honour your father and your mother that it might be well with you and that your days may be long (Ephesians 6: 1-3). But very many young people of this generation have began to take to a life of dishonoring their parents and other elderly ones in the society. They think talking abusively and beating elderly ones is a way to shine in life. But little do they know that they put curses upon themselves. This is a fulfillment of the scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-2).

Friend, one of the lessons of this season is that we should honour our parents and elders among us. Jesus was in Jerusalem with His parents. But when they were living they never knew that he was not coming along. So they had to return back in search of Him. When they discovered Him, the bible says He submitted Himself unto them (v.51). Though He was the King of kings, yet He submitted to His parents- how much more we that were saved by Him. He is our example. Let us emulate Him so that it may be well with us and that our days may be long. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to always honour my parents.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
