NEVER FORGOTTEN

NEVER FORGOTTEN Isaiah 49:13-23  Devotional:- “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you” (V. 15) NKJV Delays in some situations of life could sometimes make one feel forgotten. This could make anyone feel neglected and hated. Have you ever been in a situation where everyone was served but you alone were forgotten? This could bring a big embarrassment. But God cannot make such a mistake. Before He began serving, you were the one in His mind. His mind is filled with the memory of your love.  The scripture we read today says, even if a mother forgets to nurse her child, which I think is impossible, God said He cannot forget you. If a woman, for example, is far away from a child which has not been weaned, two of them will not find it easy. The baby will soon be crying, and the mother’s breast will soon be heavy and painful. Friend, God can never forget you. That is why He said He ...

GOOD WILL

 GOOD WILL

Luke 2:8-14
Devotional:- “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (V. 14) NKJV

A great blessing of God to humanity at the birth of Christ is goodwill. A nation without it is completely under bondage. They cannot claim, nor ask, nor can they have anything from the Lord except by the common grace (Matthew 5:25). This is what the sons of men are before the coming of the Messiah. Men have been living under the pressure and the punishment of sin and the law. Men were governed spiritually by the law they were never capable of obeying.

When Jesus came, then came the time of grace. This brought us into the season of the goodwill of God (Ephesians 2:8).

Will is what every father writes to give the right of inheritance to each of the children. Before Christ, God’s will was not approachable for men. It was not favorable for a natural man. But God gave us another will in Christ Jesus. This is what the angel was announcing in verse 14. We refer to it today as the New Testament. Therefore, all God’s blessings in the New Testament are for your benefit. Those are the new things God said He will do (Isaiah 43:19). There, you and I have God as our father, and we are His sons and daughters. The former will have been cancelled. Never expect the same predicament as your parents to be your portion. Even if they left nothing for you, now in Christ, you are entitled to the goodwill of God. Claim it and go for it. It’s all yours (1 Corinthians 3:21).

Prayer: Lord, let your goodwill be established in my life.
