LEARN AND RELATE

LEARN TO RELATE Romans 12:14-21  Devotional:- “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited” (v. 16) NIV. We live in a world today that promotes youthful excesses more than that of the mature. We do this in the name of youthful innovations. That is why no office wants to employ relatively old individuals any more. It’s a competitive world. This is making a greater percentage of the world fail in the area of relationships. This is because it is a youthful idea to think you don’t need others. The world of this age is trying to build self-sufficient people. This is the reason many have not learnt the wisdom of relationships. For this reason, today, many people don’t have a home. Many have lost their job and joy. Many have missed many opportunities. The scripture we read today teaches us the right attitude to enjoy a relationship with others. Be careful of pride or overvaluing yourself (Romans 12:...

WORSHIP

 WORSHIP

John 4:10-26
Devotional:- “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him” (v.23) NKJV

Many of us have not come to the level of understanding that God is more interested in building relationship with us than in meeting our needs. Actually, He desires to meet our needs, but fundamentally, He wants a relationship first. That is why most people don’t have a constant response from God, because He has discovered that they are much more after His gifts and not after Him as God. So also when Jesus discovered that people were following Him for the sake of fish and bread, He quickly discouraged the act (John 6:25-27).

One of the things that God strongly desire from human race is our worship. Not because He wants to show that He is God, but because He knows that it will help Him build a relationship with us. Observe that God called David a man after His heart. One of the reasons was that David had a good relationship with God through worship. Abraham was also called the friend of God because he often had time to worship God. These are the kind of people God is seeking in the world.

You can join the club of the true worshippers by making worship a life style for yourself. This is by thinking about God as you do all you do. Think and sing about His goodness to you. Let your heart always be grateful and thankful (1 Thessalonians 5:18). God has been seeking this from you longest time. When will you stop pondering upon your problems and rather build up faith in His power as you begin to worship Him? He wants to reveal His mind to you and show you the plan of the enemy and the strategy for victory. He wants to let you know His plans for you (Acts 13:2). He also wants to fight on your behalf (2 Chronicles 20:20-25).

Prayer: Lord, give me a heart for your true worship.
