LEARN AND RELATE

LEARN TO RELATE Romans 12:14-21  Devotional:- “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited” (v. 16) NIV. We live in a world today that promotes youthful excesses more than that of the mature. We do this in the name of youthful innovations. That is why no office wants to employ relatively old individuals any more. It’s a competitive world. This is making a greater percentage of the world fail in the area of relationships. This is because it is a youthful idea to think you don’t need others. The world of this age is trying to build self-sufficient people. This is the reason many have not learnt the wisdom of relationships. For this reason, today, many people don’t have a home. Many have lost their job and joy. Many have missed many opportunities. The scripture we read today teaches us the right attitude to enjoy a relationship with others. Be careful of pride or overvaluing yourself (Romans 12:...

CONTENTMENT

CONTENTMENT

I Timothy 6:3-12
Devotional:- “Now godliness with contentment is great gain.” (V.6) 6 NKJV

For anyone to sustain the spirit of joy, he must learn to exercise godliness with contentment. One major reason why people quickly lose their joy is their fear of lack. This is a feeling of losing what they have. This is a fear of unknown or undefined unexpected problems that may occur.

In the scripture we read today, God’s word explains to us about something that is of great gain to us. The word contentment means to be calm and at peace in every situation. It means not to worry but expect the best of every challenge. The godliness that the Bible talks about here is to remain in your godly virtues, no matter what is happening. This will make you find it easy to believe God for supply, and it shall be so. And in the midst of this, you will have peace and joy.

Friend, if you still have a problem with letting money go, thinking of how you would get it back or getting worried about your progress in life, fear of, can it ever happen? Then you will always lose your joy. But for those who can combine contentment with their trust in God, the Bible says they shall not be put to shame (Romans 10:11). It is time to understand that you are not what you have, but what you are. So even if something looks reduced, you can always get it again. Put an end to this worrisome life. Believe God to continue to sustain you by His grace. Let God’s promises comfort your soul. Leave all the “what if” to the devil. And you will live your life in ever-progressing joy.

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to be grateful at every level and every time.

“CONTENTMENT WILL LET YOU KEEP BEING GRATEFUL TILL YOU ARE GREAT”
