BLESSINGS Ephesians 2:1-8 Devotional:- “How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every blessing in heaven because we belong to Christ.” (V. 3) TLB. In the demonstration of the love of Christ to us, believers need to come to awareness that He has made every blessing available to us in heavenly places. You need to know that nothing happens physically on earth unless it has been first approved by heaven. You will observe some people trying to achieve something you consider not too difficult, but it eventually becomes impossible for them. This is because heaven has not approved it for them. You must have heard apostle Paul use the language, “from the foundation of the world," which is the things already concluded in heaven for us.  But as for you, the Bible says, God has already blessed you with all blessings in the heavenly places. GOOD NEWS

Proverbs 25:20-28
Devotional:- “As cold water to a weary soul, So is good news from a far country.” (v.25) NKJV

One of the things you must embrace to retain a life of joy is good news. These are news or information about what the Lord has done and what He is doings, e.g. news of His redemptive work, news of provision for divine healing, promotion, increase, abundant joy, breakthrough, etc. This is to hear or read testimonies of victory and success of others, and then you are drawing closer to your own testimony.

It is important that you recognise one of the devices of the devil today, and this is by promoting bad news. These are news of evil, accidents, and disasters happening all over the world. It is really an advanced trick of the enemy to steal people’s joy. Bad news weakens people’s faith and confidence. It makes men believe that God cannot help them overcome evil. So, these breed fear and doubt in the human heart. If you like to be strong and live your life in joy, then you must discard bad news always. Some rejoice at sharing bad news; please avoid such people.

Friend, even if you hear this once in a while, be careful not to allow them to take root in your heart. You cannot totally avoid hearing the bad news, but learn to discard it. Stop sympathising with people to destroy your heart. You need to know that the moment sorrow gains entrance to your heart, the presence of God is threatened (Psalm 16:11). He cannot dwell in a sorrowful heart. The moment fear steps in, faith will be weak. So there are many things to lose in bad news. Keep it off your mind and you shall retain your joy.

Prayer: Help me to always discard bad news when it comes.
“ONLY GOOD NEWS WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD LIFE”

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
