  JOY BEAUTIFIES Proverbs 15:10-20 Devotional:- “A glad heart makes a happy face; a broken heart crushes the spirit” (v.13) NLT It is important that people in this generation realise that joy is one of the secrets of beauty. There is no one who does not love to look beautiful in life; people do so much to preserve their beauty. The truth is that it charms the heart of men. It is a strength for influence. It is a language that both men and women understand. Someone who lacks beauty may also be lacking in the school of favour. Don’t let anyone deceive you that it is not necessary to be beautiful. In this world, the way you look determines the way you will be treated (1 Samuel 16:7). We only need to identify true and godly beauty. God’s word says, “Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised!” (Proverbs 31:30) AMPC. GOOD NEWS

Proverbs 25:20-28
Devotional:- “As cold water to a weary soul, So is good news from a far country.” (v.25) NKJV

One of the things you must embrace to retain a life of joy is good news. These are news or information about what the Lord has done and what He is doings, e.g. news of His redemptive work, news of provision for divine healing, promotion, increase, abundant joy, breakthrough, etc. This is to hear or read testimonies of victory and success of others, and then you are drawing closer to your own testimony.

It is important that you recognise one of the devices of the devil today, and this is by promoting bad news. These are news of evil, accidents, and disasters happening all over the world. It is really an advanced trick of the enemy to steal people’s joy. Bad news weakens people’s faith and confidence. It makes men believe that God cannot help them overcome evil. So, these breed fear and doubt in the human heart. If you like to be strong and live your life in joy, then you must discard bad news always. Some rejoice at sharing bad news; please avoid such people.

Friend, even if you hear this once in a while, be careful not to allow them to take root in your heart. You cannot totally avoid hearing the bad news, but learn to discard it. Stop sympathising with people to destroy your heart. You need to know that the moment sorrow gains entrance to your heart, the presence of God is threatened (Psalm 16:11). He cannot dwell in a sorrowful heart. The moment fear steps in, faith will be weak. So there are many things to lose in bad news. Keep it off your mind and you shall retain your joy.

Prayer: Help me to always discard bad news when it comes.
“ONLY GOOD NEWS WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD LIFE”

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
