ASK

ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

SERVING WITH JOY

SERVING WITH JOY

Deuteronomy 28:47-52

Devotional:- “Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything” (V.47) NKJV

A greater percentage of people do not know what stops their glory. They just suddenly discover that things just stop working out for them. In their ignorance, they accuse God and the devil for their predicament. You need to know from now that one of the things responsible is when people don’t serve with joy.

People are always in haste to expect reward for their service. When it looks delayed, they begin to serve with grudges in their mind. God told the Israelites that if they did not serve God with a joyful heart, they would serve their enemy. This is actually too grievous, but men are also not always understanding. Something in us always looks so high that we don’t see what the Lord is doing, but we will always see what he has not done. This makes it difficult to serve with joy. Many are wounded by their delayed expectation, and always transfer their wound all around, even to the service of God.

See, it will be wisdom for you to turn to the truth. Wherever you find yourself (in the house, office, with your spouse, family, in the house of God), stop serving in sorrow. God don’t accept such sacrifices or services (2 Corinthians 9:7). Start to serve with the gladness of your heart. So that you can eat the fruit of your labour. Nurse those children with joy, serve that man with joy, and you shall multiply in joy.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always serve with joy.

“JOY IS THE LIFE IN ANY SERVICE SEED”
