NEVER FORGOTTEN

NEVER FORGOTTEN Isaiah 49:13-23  Devotional:- “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you” (V. 15) NKJV Delays in some situations of life could sometimes make one feel forgotten. This could make anyone feel neglected and hated. Have you ever been in a situation where everyone was served but you alone were forgotten? This could bring a big embarrassment. But God cannot make such a mistake. Before He began serving, you were the one in His mind. His mind is filled with the memory of your love.  The scripture we read today says, even if a mother forgets to nurse her child, which I think is impossible, God said He cannot forget you. If a woman, for example, is far away from a child which has not been weaned, two of them will not find it easy. The baby will soon be crying, and the mother’s breast will soon be heavy and painful. Friend, God can never forget you. That is why He said He ...

SPIRIT OF JOY

 SPIRIT OF JOY

Galatians 5:16-26
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness” (v.22) NKJV

For all men to experience an ever-flowing joy, we must first possess the spirit of joy. God is the source of joy. When He is in a man, He brings His joy along (Psalm 16:11). Since God is a Spirit, He can only be with men by dwelling in them. When the spirit of God dwells in a man, he will experience unlimited joy.

One of the most neglected exercises in the church is people receiving the Holy Spirit. Most Christians look for one excuse or the other to neglect the Holy Spirit in their life. Sometimes people feel the Holy Spirit is not that necessary. Some people feel it is an old way of following the Lord. But you need to know that if you lack the Spirit of God, God’s word says that you are none of His own (Romans 8:9).

Friend, it will be wisdom for you to set aside time to ask and be filled with the Spirit of Christ. When you are filled with the Spirit, you have the generator of joy, because joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit of God. Jesus referred to this joy as rivers (John 7:37-38). They are capable of quenching any fire of sorrow and big enough to sustain you in joy for the rest of your life (Psalm 46:4-5). Never neglect or ignore the need for the Spirit of God in your life. The truth is that when a man lacks the Holy Spirit, he simply has another spirit controlling his life. Give room to the Holy Spirit, and He will give you his joy.

Prayer: Lord, fill me with the Holy Spirit abundantly.
“ABUNDANT JOY IS A PRODUCT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT”
