Sometimes our challenges make us lose focus on God. We need to realise that this is the trick of the devil. He only wants to smartly disconnect us from our source. And a river that is disconnected from its source will soon dry up.   Abraham was looking for his own way to make things happen in his life and started losing focus on God by getting another wife to fulfil the promise of God. PRESENCE OF GOD

PRESENCE OF GOD

Psalm 16:5-11

Devotional:- “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (v.11) NKJV

As good as joy is, one of the greatest tasks of joy is sustaining it. So the world always finds it difficult to sustain. Many cannot even experience it for more than two hours per week. This is because they have not located the source of joy.

As a believer, you need to know that joy is a product of the presence of God. Wherever God’s presence is, our scripture today says joy will fill the place. It means the oxygen and the hydrogen of the atmosphere of God are joy. So you cannot be in His presence and not know joy. No wonder David said he is always glad when it is time to go to the house of the Lord. (Psalm 122:1).

To experience the presence of the Lord, you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and then His presence will be within you. You also need to believe that He is with you according to His word. See God around you always; in the car, office or when travelling. When God is there, joy will be there. Anything else could be absent, but don’t ever lose the presence of God (Psalms 51:10-12). It will preserve your joy.

Prayer: Lord, help me to keep your presence.
“WHEN GOD IS THERE, JOY WILL BE THERE”
