LEARN TO RELATE Romans 12:14-21  Devotional:- “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited” (v. 16) NIV. We live in a world today that promotes youthful excesses more than that of the mature. We do this in the name of youthful innovations. That is why no office wants to employ relatively old individuals any more. It’s a competitive world. This is making a greater percentage of the world fail in the area of relationships. This is because it is a youthful idea to think you don’t need others. The world of this age is trying to build self-sufficient people. This is the reason many have not learnt the wisdom of relationships. For this reason, today, many people don’t have a home. Many have lost their job and joy. Many have missed many opportunities. The scripture we read today teaches us the right attitude to enjoy a relationship with others. Be careful of pride or overvaluing yourself (Romans 12:...

JOY BEAUTIFIES

 JOY BEAUTIFIES

Proverbs 15:10-20
Devotional:- “A glad heart makes a happy face; a broken heart crushes the spirit” (v.13) NLT

It is important that people in this generation realise that joy is one of the secrets of beauty. There is no one who does not love to look beautiful in life; people do so much to preserve their beauty. The truth is that it charms the heart of men. It is a strength for influence. It is a language that both men and women understand. Someone who lacks beauty may also be lacking in the school of favour. Don’t let anyone deceive you that it is not necessary to be beautiful. In this world, the way you look determines the way you will be treated (1 Samuel 16:7). We only need to identify true and godly beauty.

God’s word says, “Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised!” (Proverbs 31:30) AMPC. The vain beauty is that of the face, but the one from the heart is eternal. This comes from the heart that fears the Lord. That which beautifies the heart is freedom in the heart. This is a heart that is not condemn with God because it fear the Lord and always obey Him. This happen where the Holy Spirit is (2 Corinthians 3:16). This is a joyful heart. When your heart is full of joy, it will radiate on your face and cause it to shine. That is why our scripture today says a cheerful countenance is a product of a merry heart.

No matter your makeup, if it does not include joy, it cannot make you look beautiful (Proverbs 27:19). Don’t allow the enemy to keep driving you into sorrow; choose to be joyful. No one is actually ugly (Psalms 139:14), learn to make up with powder of joy in your heart, and you will be favoured.

Prayer: Lord, beautify me with your joy.
