PREVAILING OVER POVERTY

Image
PREVAILING OVER POVERTY II Corinthians 8:1-12 Devotional:- “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich” (V. 9) NKJV      There is no one poverty doesn’t want to rule over, but everyone prevails over it by working their way out of it with wisdom. God’s wisdom is stronger than poverty. The wisdom of this world is weak. Today a larger percentage of the population of the world is still poor. Over 80% are poor while 20% could be called the rich. I believe, in our time, that figure will change. You will also be listed among the rich in Jesus name.

HOPE DEFERRED

Image
HOPE DEFERRED Job 14:6-9 Devotional:- “For there is hope for a tree, if it’s cut down, it sprouts again and grows tender new branch” (V. 7) TLB      The challenge of life could weigh a man down beyond his faith and bring him to the level of hopelessness. Many people today have no hope of good things happening to them anymore. They have been waiting on God for quite sometimes and their hope is getting wearied.

LOW FAITH

Image
LOW FAITH Luke 17:5-10 Devotional:- “And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith” (V. 5) NKJV      Sometimes in life, we face overwhelming challenges. According to God’s word, we know we need faith to overcome them, but our faith could be low. This happens to believers because we don’t regularly stand in the victory Christ has given us (Ephesians 6:13).   The enemy often wants to attack us at the period and the places of our weakness. Some children of God allow their faith life to leak because of anxiety and care for the things of the world. Please, be aware that the enemy will always take advantage of your period of sleeping in faith.

SPIRITUAL DRYNESS

Image
SPIRITUAL DRYNESS Judges 16:18-28 Devotional"= However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaven” (V.22) NKJV      A man who is strong and deep in faith could sometimes have spiritual dryness. This is a period when faith seems to have vanished, A period when you as a leader want to read your Bible and it looks as if it is all erased. You wouldn’t even see any revelation in it. A period when you want to spend a good time praying and you end up thinking and pondering upon your problems. Prayer time becomes boring, and in such time, it could seem better for you to sleep than to pray. Your mind becomes so empty and carries no power to impart no one. No one likes to witness such a season but it does happen. You only need to know how to avoid and get out of such a situation.

CONSCIENCE

Image
CONSCIENCE II Samuel 24:2-10 Devotional:- “David was conscience-stricken after he had counted the fighting men, and he said to the LORD, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done. Now, LORD, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing” (V. 10) NIV      God has given every human a conscience. This is a part of your mind that tells you whether what you are doing is right or wrong. Conscience can have a positive effect and can also have a negative effect. Some people want to avoid condemnation in their hearts and so destroy their conscience. The positive effect is very good, it keeps us away from evil. God put it there to help us flee from evil and love one another. It helps us to fear the Lord.

SETTLING YOUR DEBT

SETTLING YOUR DEBT  II Kings 4:1-7 Devotional:- “Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest" (V. 7) NKJV      The word of God says the borrower is a servant to the lender, and so many people are dying under the yoke of debt today. Some now live their lives in shame because of debt. So many friends have been separated by debt. Because of debt, some people can no longer pass through their villages, towns, or streets. Many have lost their peace and sleep, not knowing what will befall them.
