YOUR OPPONENTS
I Peter 5:5-11
Devotional:- “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about
like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (v. 8). NKJV
When a man
does not know his opponent, he will totally be ignorant of the way of victory.
Most people always make mistakes taking man as their enemy. As God’s children, it’s
important we come to understand that the forces against us are the forces of
the devil, though they always use man.
God’s word
says we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against principality, (they
take territorial government), against powers (master spirit), rulers of the darkness
of this age and against the spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places
(Eph. 6:12 Ampl, TPT). These are forces of God that fell with the devil and
their powers was not taken from them (Revelation 12:7-9). You must understand
that they are the one manifesting and manipulating in different ways in the
human lives (2 Corinthians 2:11). This is the reason you cannot afford to be
prayerless or powerless as a child of God.
This
understanding put you ahead of him. It makes you to know who or where to fire
so that you don’t misfire. He is a pretender, so he takes different forms.
Don’t see whatever is happening to you ordinary, you must be sensitive and
understand the way to stop him. The Bible says; we should not be ignorant of
his devices. He knows you carry a glory and he doesn’t want your success. That
is why you must grow your strength in God. If Christ overcomes, you will surely
overcome. Peace.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to grow in Your Strength For My Victory.
“YOUR VICTORY IS PAID FOR BUT YOUR STRENGTH ESTABLISHES YOU IN IT.”
