THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. IF GOD BE FOR US

IF GOD BE FOR US

Romans 8:28-31
What shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (V. 31)

Living a life of defeat is a frustrating thing. It could cripple the heart of a person from taking a right step for progress. This in most cases a product of defeat mentality. Defeat mentality is largely a product of fear and doubt. Fear and doubt are also produced by repeated experiences of failure. If a man has tried several times on so many things and has failed, he may not be willing to try again. That is why the best things of life is not to depend on your experiences but on the power of God.

You as a child of God should know that God is for you. He is inside you. You are His temple (1 Cor 5:16-17). God’s word says, Jesus is our Emmanuel which means God with us. You need to put your confidence in Him. You need to depend on Him not in yourself (Proverb 3:5).

This God cannot be for you and you are defeated. He is the almighty God and if the almighty God is inside you then there is nothing to fear even when it looks as if all things are collapsing, yet they will rise again (Proverb 24 :16). There is therefore a need to have this set in your mind, since God is for you, no power will prevail against you. Therefore, be sure you are conscious of His presence (Psalm 24:4). Take instruction from Him in all you do (Proverbs 3:5-6). Be sure you always obey His directions and you will always overcome. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, I Thank You Because You Dwell In Me For My Victory.
