CHOICE OF JOY Acts 16:20-30 Devotional:- “But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.” (V.25) NKJV So many people in this world have not woken up to the fact that the way they live is their choice. One of the greatest errors is to think that the situation a man finds himself, is the determining factor of his life. This is not true. Please come to an awareness of this truth from now on: that you are living as you have chosen to live. Get to know that you are a creature of choice. Whatever your choice is, that is your lot. God chooses no evil for anyone in life (Jeremiah 29:11). Whether you are happy or not, whether you are rich or not, whether you are healthy or not, it is your choice; if you decide otherwise from now and stand by your decision, things will change for you. Isaiah 60:1-8
Devotional:- “or behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you and his glory will be seen upon you.” (v. 2)

    It is visible in the scriptures we read today that God’s word has already foreseen the doom of this generation. In other word, the current shaking is from the Lord. It is part of His agenda for the end time. This shaking is actually necessary to put shame to ungodliness and people’s hope in material and money which has become the gods of many.

I like you to see that, as much as these shakings are programmed by God, it is also for your rising and glory. Our devotional verse shows us that darkness will cover the earth. Also in the middle of the verse comes a conjunction ‘but…’ this simply show us that some people shall be exempted like it happened to the children of Israel in Egypt (Exodus 8:23).

God’s word says, though darkness shall cover the earth but God shall arise over you. This darkness is confusion and lack of understanding of what to do. But the light of God will lighten your way. Since darkness is what brings out the glory of light, the darkness is therefore for your advantages. All you need to ask for is light from above. Remember, the word of God says you will stand out (Matthew 5:14-16). While the people in confusion are selling their properties, you will receive grace to be buying. While they are quitting, you will be getting established and taking over in Jesus name. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, Release Your Light On Me.

“LIGHT ALWAYS TAKES ADVANTAGE OF DARKNESS TO SHINE.”

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
