HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

WHAT IS STRENGTH?

WHAT IS STRENGTH?

I Corinthians 2:1-6
Devotional:- “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,” (v. 4) NKJV

It is important that all God’s children understand what strength is. This present world only recognizes that there is strength but most people don’t understand what it is or where it is from. If a anyone is not strong, neither will he/she be able to share with the strong (Isaiah 53:12). Strength is not in words but it is in the demonstration of powers. We are confronted here with powers, so we also must be equipped with stronger powers if we must overcome (Ephesians 6:10-12).

Strength is an in-built ability. It is deposited inside and manifest outside. Strength is the energy of God deposited in a man by His Spirit (Act 1:8). Someone can only gain strength when he/she has equipped himself with it. It is not possible to be strong and not demonstrate it when it is needed. Strength will always seek expression for victory.

There are different types of strength. It could be spiritual, mental or physical. These three are interdependent. It is the strength of your spirit that determines the one of your mind and that of your mind determines that of your body. Physical strength is useful in physical race and battle but spiritual and mental strength are real strength of life. You can gain the strength of God by fellowshipping with Him through His word and prayers. The word of God commands us to be strong in the Lord (Ephesians 6:10-12). Those who grow their muscles do it consciously. It takes a conscious step to grow your strength in God. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, Open My Understanding to The Way Of Spiritual Strength.
