PROTECT YOUR HEART

Image
PROTECT YOUR HEART  Proverbs 4:20-27 Devotional:- “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (V. 23) NLT      Everyone is born with a strength capable of rising to greatness. In every growing child is a seed of greatness. It is this strength that makes the youth so creative and energetic. That is why each young person looks at the future with great hope. The enemy tries to destroy this strength. As strong as many started in life, not many could strike the chord of success because their strength was destroyed.

PATH OF FAVOUR

Image
PATH OF FAVOUR Scripture Reading: Proverbs 12:1-10 Devotional:- “A good man obtains favor from the LORD, But a man of wicked intentions He will condemn.”(V.2)      A great blessing that accompanied the journey of the righteous is favour. By this, God always bless the righteous (Psalm 5:12). God is the owner of all things (Psalm 24:1) and He has the right to directing to wherever He will. Righteousness qualifies a man for the favour of God.

SANCTIFICATION

Image
SANCTIFICATION  Scripture Reading: John 17:13-19 Devotional:- “And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth” (V. 19      To be sanctified is to be set apart as holy unto the Lord. If any child of God shall remain in the righteousness of Christ, he must be sanctified unto the Lord. This is an act of seeing self as separated and different from the commons to the Lord (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).

CLEAR DIRECTION

Image
CLEAR DIRECTION Scripture Reading: Proverbs 11:1-6 Devotional:- “The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way aright, But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness” (V.5)      God did not make man to live without Him. That is why one of the vital needs of our life is divine direction. Each one must therefore learn how to be directed by the Lord. The word of God says “the way of a man is not in himself” (Jeremiah 10:23). God do not expect you to be directing yourself. He wants us to ask Him for direction in all things (Proverbs 3:5-6). The world will tell you to direct your way. But God made you and is been guiding you from the womb till the end (Isaiah 46:3-4).

BETTER AND BRIGHTER

Image
BETTER AND BRIGHTER Scripture Reading: Proverbs 4:14-19 Devotional:- “But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day” (V.18)      When a man chooses to live right with God, his life moves in an increasing dimension of light. The word of God says “we know in parts” (1 Corinthians 13:9). That simply tells us that we don't know all things. It is as much as God allows us to know that we can understand.

JOYFUL LIFE

Image
JOYFUL LIFE Scripture Reading: Proverbs 13:1-10 Devotional:- “The light of the righteous rejoices, But the lamp of the wicked will be put out”(V.9)      Life becomes beautiful when we live it with joy. The fact is that many things causes sorrow for the sons of men in this world. Not many things that happen to man make him to find joy? But those chooses to walk right with God will always find the atmosphere of joy.

TEN TIMES BETTER

Image
TEN TIMES BETTER Scripture Reading: Daniel 1:8-20 Devotional:- “And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm” (V.20)      When Daniel and the other Hebrews were carried to Babylon as slaves, they determined in their heart to remain in the will of God all their lives. Because of their decision to stand right with God, they were brought into favour with the king and became palace staff.

ESTABLISHMENT

Image
ESTABLISHMENT Scripture Reading: Proverbs 16:10-17 Devotional:- “It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, For a throne is established by righteousness” (V.12)      There is no one without a throne. A man's throne is the place where he exercises dominion. This could be in the family, office, places of trade or in the community. Whenever God has given you grace to be a leader, you need to know that your leadership can only be established in righteousness.

MANIFESTATION OF GLORY

Image
MANIFESTATION OF GLORY Scripture Reading: Proverbs 28:10-14 Devotional:- “When the righteous rejoice, there is great glory; But when the wicked arise, men hide themselves” (V.12)      One of the trouble of worldly living is a life void of the glory of God (Roman 3:23). Such life will be full of shame and disgrace. The devil deceives people into ungodly life through pleasure. He always wants people to think they have a high life, even when they have been destroyed (Job 31:3; Proverbs 14:12).

JUSTIFICATION

Image
JUSTIFICATION Scripture Reading: Romans 3:21-26 Devotional:- “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,” (V. 24)      To be justified is to be declared just or righteous before God. The word justification is a legal term used for someone that was first suspected, arrested and accused as an offender (Romans 3:23). When the court session and the judge is sited, they will attempt on go deeper into the case of the accused.

ANSWERED PRAYERS

Image
ANSWERED PRAYERS  Scripture Reading: James 5:13-18 Devotional:-“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms” (V.16)     Choosing to live a righteous life in this cruel world qualifies you to have answers to your prayers. Whenever a righteous man call upon the Lord, He hears their prayers (Proverbs 15:29). The reason is because the eye of the Lord is 24/7 on the righteous (1 Peter 3:12). They are the people who carry His nature on the on their live, so they stand out as the Lord beholds the earth.

DELIVERANCE FROM FAILURE

Image
DELIVERANCE FROM FAILURE Scripture Reading: Proverbs 11:23-31 Devotional:- “He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like foliage” (V.28)      Your choice for the righteousness of God will deliver you from failure. Men because of fear of failure often do many things to secure their lives. What most people adopt as their security is their wealth. But this are what can be today and may not be tomorrow.

CELEBRATION

Image
CELEBRATION Scripture Reading:Proverbs 10:27-32 Devotional:- “The hope of the righteous will be gladness,But the expectation of the wicked will perish” (V.28)    When a man chooses to live in the righteousness of God in all his situations, his challenges will always result to testimonies and celebration. This is because he will depend on God who does not put to shame (Psalm 22:5). A righteous man may face many challenges, but the Lord will deliver him from it all (Psalm 34:19)

WALL OF PROTECTION

Image
WALL OF PROTECTION Scripture Reading: Proverbs 10:8-11 Devotional:- “He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known” (V.9)      Contrary to the thought of some people who think to walk in righteousness is to lose in this world; rather there is so much blessing for the righteous. Righteousness is the true way to live. Another blessing of righteousness is a supernatural wall of protection around the righteous and his family.

BLESSING AND FAVOUR

Image
BLESSING AND FAVOUR Scripture Reading: Proverbs 10:1-7 Devotional:- “Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked” (V.6)      Today, many people think if anyone will prosper in this world, he has to be dubious. That is why many so called children of God have not seen the true blessing of the Lord. Contrary to the opinion of some people is the wonder of God to bless a man when you have chosen to live in the righteousness of Christ.

TROUBLE FREE

Image
TROUBLE FREE        Scripture Reading: Proverbs 11:7-11 Devotional:-“The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead” (V.8)       When you observe the life of a man that walks in the fear of God, his life is void of troubles. There are people in this world that troubles don’t come near at all, because they have chosen to live a righteous life. Any arrow of troubles sent against them will be returned to the sender (Isaiah 54:17). In this world, trouble happens to people in different ways, some have trouble in their health, some over their family and others over their careers or businesses. But when you live in the consciousness of the righteousness of Christ, you will not be a victim of trouble (Proverb 10:9)

EMBLEM OF TRUE SONS

Image
EMBLEM OF TRUE SONS Scripture Reading: 1 John 3:4-10 Devotional:- “In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother” (V 10)      It is important that every believer understand that for someone to have the nature of man, he must born of man. But for anyone to have the nature of God, they must be born of God. So, at salvation, the nature of God is giving to us. But it is the responsibility of each one to effectively keep their garment clean by practicing righteousness (Revelation 16:15).

NO CONDEMNATION

Image
NO CONDEMNATION  Scripture Reading: Romans 8:1-4 Devotional:- “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit” (V.1)      A major weapon the devil uses against many Christians today is condemnation. Condemnation is an act of making someone to feels unfit to stand before God. This is where the devil is a specialist (Revelation 12:10). He does this by reminding people of their past mistakes and errors before God and making man feel that God has forgotten him.

THE ANOINTING

Image
THE ANOINTING  Scripture Reading: Hebrews 1:5-12 Devotional:- “You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions." (V. 9)    The anointing of the Holy Spirit is the extra ordinary manifestation of the power of God through a human vessel. When the Holy Spirit comes, it anoints each one to do different things to advance the kingdom of God.

PEACE WITH GOD

Image
PEACE WITH GOD ScriptureReading: Romans 5:1-11 Devotional:-“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (V.1)      One of the major blessings of the righteous is Peace. A righteous man has three dimensioned of peace. He has peace within, peace with God and peace all around him. This is because righteousness makes a life to be void of trouble. Remember that righteousness is the nature of God. Righteousness is living in the will of God and to please the Lord.

DOMINION

Image
DOMINION Scripture Reading: Romans 5:12-21 Devotional:- “For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ”.(V.17)      God made man for dominion over all other creatures (Genesis 1:27), yet one will find out that forces dominating the life of many people. This is quite contrary to the order of God for our lives. That is why you must refuse to allow any factor of this world to enslave you. If that will be so, I like to introduce you to one of the wisdom that produces dominion. This is the righteousness of God.

RICH ADDITIONS

Image
RICH ADDITIONS Scripture Reading Matthew 6:25-34 Devotional:- “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (V. 33)      It's amazing the way many children of God lives in lack today. It points to the fact that most so called children of God don't live in the consciousness of the righteousness of God. We must know that the price that was paid for our redemption is too precious to permit lack (Psalms 37:25-26).

EXALTATION

Image
EXALTATION Scripture Reading: Psalms 89:14-21 Devotional:- “In Your name they rejoice all day long, And in Your righteousness they are exalted” (V.16)       Part of the blessings of living in the righteousness of God is promotion. This happens naturally and supernaturally. The word of God says “righteousness exalts and sin only bring reproach to people’s life (Proverbs 14:34).  If a righteous man is working anywhere, his faithfulness and loyalty will make him gain attention (Luke 16:10-12). When considering the one to be put in charge, common sense will put the faithful in office.

KEEPING YOUR GARMENT

Image
KEEPING YOUR GARMENT Scripture Reading: Matthew 22:1-14 Devotional:- “So he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?' And he was speechless” (V12)      It is important that you know that the righteousness of God given to us as a gift through Jesus must be kept clean to the end. Yes, this garment of righteousness is given to us through our faith in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:8-9), yet, it is the responsibility of each of us to maintain it that we might reign with Christ when He returns (Rev.3:4, Rev. 19:8)

TRIGGERED BLESSING

Image
TRIGGERED BLESSING Scripture Reading: Isaiah 3:8-12 Devotional:- "Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” (v.10)      The righteousness of the Lord triggers blessing in the life of a man. This is because righteousness is the nature of God. When anyone wears this nature, they are easily spotted by the Angels of the Lord for their blessing (Psalms 34:7). Just as the Angels of the Lord spots the righteous, so also the angels of the devil. They know that they must not go near them (Proverbs 11:8).

RIGHT CHOICES

Image
RIGHT CHOICES Scripture Reading: Proverbs 12: 19-28 Devotional:- “The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray” (V26)      One of the blessings of righteousness is that it helps to make the right choices. Making of choices in life is a major and a critical need of life. But the Bible says “the steps of the upright are ordered by the Lord (Psalms 37:23-24). Though a righteous man may fall, but he will not be totally cast down. He will keep rising up (Proverbs 24:16).

RIGHTNESS & RIGHTEOUSNESS

Image
RIGHTNESS & RIGHTEOUSNESS Scripture Reading: Colossians 2:11-23 Devotional:- “These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh” (V 23)      It is important you know that something may look right but it is not equal to righteousness. Someone may be so nice but as long as he does accept the righteousness of God though Christ, he cannot be righteous. The word of God says all our righteousness is like filthy rag before God. (Isaiah 64:6).

GROWING THE NATURE OF GOD.

Image
GROWING THE NATURE OF GOD.  Romans 8:5-13 Devotional:- “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live” (V. 13)      It should be clear to all believers in Christ that what is not growing is dying. Just as righteousness is the nature of God, if anyone is not growing the nature of God such will be unconsciously growing the carnal nature (Romans 8:5-8). That is why the Bible says to be carnally minded is dead. This death is not extinguishing but separation from God. Death in the Hebrew language means separation. It is therefore the responsibility of each Christian to grow the nature of God in their life.

IN CHRIST

Image
IN CHRIST   Scripture Reading: Colossians 3:11  Devotional:- “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God” (V3)NKJV      When the Bible says we are in Christ, it means, we are putting on the nature of Christ Jesus. This demands a strong commitment on our side to abide in Him. To live in Christ is to be committed to do His will in all that we do. When we become committed to be in Christ, the Holy Spirit is always available to help us.

CHOOSING RIGHTEOUSNESS

Image
CHOOSING RIGHTEOUSNESS Scripture Reading: Daniel 1:1-9 Devotional:- “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” (V8)      As a child of God, you will need the grace of God to always choose the path of righteousness. The system and pattern of the world make it difficult to be able to choose to obey God in every situation. But because we must not miss out on God, we therefore need to know what will help us in our choices.

IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS

Image
IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS Scripture Reading: Romans 4:1-8  Devotional:- “Just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:” (V.6)      All believers need to understand that our walk in the righteousness of God is in two dimensions. The fundamental truth is that righteousness is of God. No man can be righteous before Him (Isaiah 64:6; Psalm 143:2) Jesus came to shed His blood to purchase the righteousness of God for us (Romans 5:17-20)

WHAT IS RIGHTEOUSNESS?

Image
WHAT IS RIGHTEOUSNESS?  Scripture Reading: Psalm 15:1-5 Devotional NKJV :- “He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart;” (v. 2)      The dictionary defines righteousness as adhering or conforming to the acceptable norm or moral standard. The world standard of righteousness is not the same as the righteousness of God. There are laws that were made in some nations of the world to approve what God disapproved. For example: That a law made homosexuality acceptable in some country does not make it righteous before God. For any practice to be righteous, it must agree with the word of God.
