A REWARDER

Image
A REWARDER   Hebrews 11:4-7. Devotional:- "For he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder, of those who diligently seek Him” (V.6)      Everyone involved in any kind of labor expects a reward. What motivates people into service or pursuit of life is the reward attached to it. It is embarrassing to see that most people labor for no reward, or rather their rewards don't often measure up to their service or input. This is the reason for frustration in the lives of many in the world today.

ACCESSING YOUR PORTION

Image
ACCESSING YOUR PORTION         Read: Luke 18:1-8 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? (Vs.7)      The key to accessing our portion in the kingdom of God is persistence. This is an act of faith which is not willing to turn to another quarter for solution. To persist is to pray without being discouraged until something happens. It is a decision based on the knowledge of the faithfulness of God. No matter how tough your situation may be, when you persist in prayers for your right in God, He will have no option but to give you access.

GREATNESS

Image
GREATNESS               Read: Mark 10:35-45 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant (Vs. 43).      In the kingdom of the world, greatness is achieved by acquiring certain volume of wealth or having affluence for influence. In our political world today, if anyone does not have affluence, it will not be easy for him or her to have influence to win an election.

KINGDOM ADDITIONS

Image
KINGDOM ADDITIONS          Read: Luke 12:22-34 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. (Vs. 31)      The kingdom of God is where God rules and in His rulership, all things are provided for. If the kingdom of men could do so much to take care of their citizens, why won’t the kingdom of God? (Luke 12:27-28).

THE KING’S PARTY

Image
THE KING’S PARTY         Read: Luke 14:15-24 But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ (Vs. 18)      Citizens of the kingdom of God are faithful and loyal followers of Christ. We know that our lives belong to Him and we are not of ourself. Obedience to God is paramount, above money, business and even our lives. When He instructs us, nothing in this world should be considered as being more important (Matthew 7:24). This is because He has the best plan for us (Jeremiah 29:11). His understanding is far more than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

A HUNDRED FOLD

Image
A HUNDRED FOLD             Read: Mark 10:29-31 Who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time - houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions - and in the age to come, eternal life (Vs. 30).      The kingdom of God is a kingdom of covenants. A covenant is a legal agreement sealed by blood. One of the reasons Jesus shed His blood was to seal up the word of God for the benefit of all believers (Heb. 9:16-18). One of such covenants which believers have in the word of God is a hundred fold covenants.

THE UNSEEN FORCES

Image
THE UNSEEN FORCES          Read: Mark 4:26-29 And should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how (Vs. 27)      The spiritual force that carries out assignments are invisible to the natural eyes. There are so many things going on around the world which the physical eyes cannot see. They are invisible, more powerful and eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

THE SURE SUPPLY

Image
THE SURE SUPPLY            Read: Luke 11:5-13 …For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened (Vs.10).      In the system of the government of this world, when a local government is in need of any facility, there is usually an administrative system to follow. Because of human factor, there can always be failure and disappointment. Wherever you find the government of man, there will always be limitation.

THE QUALITY SEED

Image
THE QUALITY SEED              Read: Luke 21:1-4 For all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had” (Vs. 4)      The quality of a seed is evident in the richness of its fruits. In the kingdom of this world, we celebrate those who give big gifts but that is not so in the kingdom of God. In the kingdom of God, the quality of your love determines the quality of your seed. You can see the quality of the love of God in His willingness to give His only son (John 3:16). That was His all.

THE SEED OF LIFE

Image
THE SEED OF LIFE             Read: Luke 8:4-15 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. (Vs. 11)      When the understanding of a man is open to knowing what the seed of life is, he will give his best to always have it. The seed of life brings the strength and energy to produce good things of life. It is the seed of life that makes a man an achiever. When you see someone producing the good things of life, you must realize that he must have located the seed for progress and sown that seed in due time.

RICHES IN THIS KINGDOM

Image
RICHES IN THIS KINGDOM         Read: Mark 10:23-27 Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!” (Vs. 23) Oluremi AGBABIAKA · Riches In This Kingdom      One of the things people have so much concern about is their riches. These are the valuable resources they have gathered over time. Everyone wants to jealously keep his/her valuables. Because of our approach to laboring hard to gather these valuables, we tend to turn them to gods.

THE LEAST IN THE KINGDOM

Image
THE LEAST IN THE KINGDOM           Read: Luke 7:19-30 For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he” (Vs.28).      Every citizen of the kingdom of God needs to know the value of what heaven and earth sees in us. We are a people that God has invested so much grace upon. The Old Testament saints lived in the time of the law, but Jesus brought grace and truth for the New Testament believers (John 1:17). This is a measure of God’s goodness which cannot be comprehended by human mind.

BEARING FRUITS

Image
BEARING FRUITS            Read: John 15:1-8 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (Vs.5)      There are many parables through which Jesus illustrates what the kingdom of God is. These parables have to do with sowing of seeds (Mark 4:27, Luke 8:5). From these, we are already informed that there would be fruits. Jesus says “I have sent you to bear fruits” (John 15:16). He said that anyone who does not bear fruits shall be cut away (John 15:2). Whoever does not bear fruits shall lose the kingdom of God (Mark 21:43). That is why you and I must be fruit-bearing Christians.

THE POOR IN SPIRIT

Image
THE POOR IN SPIRIT        Read: Luke 6:20-23 Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: “Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God. (Vs. 20)       This teachings of Jesus are referred to as the beatitudes which mean the blessings. Jesus talked about being poor in the spirit. Jesus used these teachings to enlighten us on the blessings of the kingdom of God. It looks quite different from the factors of human blessings because it is not of the kingdom of men.

THE NATURE OF CHILDREN

Image
THE NATURE OF CHILDREN          Read: Matthew 18:1-5 And said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.  (Vs. 3)      When Jesus likened the kingdom of God to the life of a child, He did not intend that we should remain as children and not be matured. Rather, He wanted to teach us some of the characteristics of children which are similar to the lifestyle of the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 14:20).

TRUE LOVE

Image
TRUE LOVE                      Read: Luke 10:25-37 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him (Vs. 34).        No one can enjoy the blessings of the kingdom of God without living in the true love of Christ. The true love of Christ is experienced when you go out of your personal way to be of help to another person as the Lord lays it in your heart.

KNOWLEDGE BASED

Image
KNOWLEDGE BASED             Read: Daniel 11:29-39 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. (Vs. 32).      The kingdom of God is not for people who hate knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Anyone who feels that knowledge is a burden will be easily deceived by the devil. He will not be able to achieve much in God. Many have not laid hands on the constitution of their countries, not to talk of knowing what is there. You cannot do that with the kingdom of God. It is too delicate and dangerous.

MYSTERIES

Image
MYSTERIES                    Read: Mark 4:10-12 And He said to them, “To you, it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables. (Vs.11)      The kingdom of God operates by the mystery of God. It is hidden because God wants it to look foolish to the common mind (1 Corinthians 2:6-8). But they are the wisdom of God for human liberty (1 Corinthians 1:23-25). Mysteries are the hidden wisdom of God. God says His ways are different from our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). So, as God’s children, we need to know that operating in the kingdom demands us having the working knowledge of His mysteries (I Corinthians 22:14).

LOVE AND RESTORATION

Image
LOVE AND RESTORATION   Read: Luke 15:11-32 For this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry. (Vs. 24)      The God of this kingdom is love personified (1 John 4:7-8). That is, He Himself is love. Citizens of the kingdom of God always enjoy the demonstration of the love of God. This love attitude of God makes us enjoy forgiveness of our sins and restoration to fellowship with Him. This is not a practice in the other kingdom.

THE DANGER OF THE KINGDOM

Image
THE DANGER OF THE KINGDOM   Read: Luke 9:57-62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Vs. 62)      There are some “don’ts” in the kingdom of God. Being unmindful of these “don'ts” put you in danger as a citizen. This is because this kingdom has a terrible and wicked enemy (1 Peter 5:8). You must be careful to know these “don’ts” because it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the devil.

SMARTER THAN THE DEVIL

Image
SMARTER THAN THE DEVIL        Read: Mark 16:14-18 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; (Vs. 17).      All citizens of the kingdom are ordained with grace to be smarter than the devil through the help of the Holy Spirit. Some saints in the Old Testament also enjoyed this grace. David said, “You through your commandment have made me wiser than my enemies” (Psalm 119:98). This is a blessing for believers in the New Testament who are operating in the kingdom of God.

KINGDOM OF POWER

Image
KINGDOM OF POWER              Read: I Corinthians 4:17-21 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. (Vs. 20)      Every believer must know that the kingdom of God is characterized with power. It is important that you get used to power as a child of God. As a child of God, you must not be a victim of the devil who is the enemy of God and man. Being involved in a religion makes a man a victim. This is because religion is always void of the manifestation of power (Colossians 2:23).

THE UNSTOPPABLE KINGDOM

Image
THE UNSTOPPABLE KINGDOM        Read: Mark 4:30-32 But when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.” (Vs. 32)      There is no power or force that can stop God. So, His kingdom operations are unstoppable. If anyone tries to stop the kingdom of God, such will have to stop living (Luke 20:18). That is why as a citizen of the kingdom of God, you are unstoppable.

THE RULING KINGDOM

Image
THE RULING KINGDOM             Read: Daniel 4:24-37 They shall drive you from men, your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. They shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses. (Vs. 25)      Another major nature of the kingdom of God is sovereignty. It is a ruling kingdom. In other words, the kingdom of God enthrones and takes over thrones. Wherever the kingdom is established, kings and rulers will be raised over every other throne (Revelation 11:15). This is one of the things the devil does not want you to know (John 8:32).

ABOVE DARKNESS

Image
ABOVE DARKNESS             Read: Matthew 12:22-30 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Vs.28)      The kingdom of God is a kingdom of light. Light is above darkness any day and at any given point in time. The two cannot co-exist. One will have to bow for the other. The moment light comes, darkness disappears (John 1:5). This is why the kingdom of God is more superior to the kingdom of the devil.

THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT

Image
THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT Read: Proverbs 4:13-20 .                      But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day. (Vs.18)        There are only two kingdoms in the spirit realm.  They are; the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil. They represent the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. These two kingdoms always contend for the souls of men.

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Image
RIGHTEOUSNESS               Read:      Romans 14:14-23 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (v. 17)      So many people are called Christians without them actually having a proper understanding of the kingdom to which they belong. Please, stop operating ignorantly with God (Hosea 4:6). This is one of the major reasons many suffer.

CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM

Image
CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM                      Read: John 1:6-12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. (Vs.12)        Citizenship of the kingdom of God is by faith in the salvation and redemption Jesus brought. Please, remember that we are learning about a spiritual kingdom and not physical one. So, the materials for citizenship are not human but are by faith.

ACCESSING THE KINGDOM

Image
ACCESSING THE KINGDOM       Read: John 3:1-7 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (Vs. 5)        Towns and cities differ in nature, customs, tradition and practices. What is right in one country may be wrong in another. That is why we need to learn about the nature of the kingdom of God. This is vital so that we can freely operate in it as citizens.
