  SETBACK Genesis 39:10-21 Devotional:- “Then Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison” (v.20) NKJV Most people do not yet understand that what we call a setback, a lot of time is a set-up to set us to our top. Setback, as viewed by people, is demotion, but it is rather an opportunity to retreat and re-fire for greater victory. When the purpose of a thing is not known, men are bound to abuse it. Today, we read about Joseph, who was thanking God for being promoted from a slave to a house overseer. He always tried to put his best into his assignment, and by this, he always had joy. At this time, the enemy wanted to damage his testimony by the temptation of sin, but he stood his ground for God (2 Timothy 2:22). But then he faced something like a demotion to prison. CHARACTER TRANSFORMATION

Romans 12:1-8 
Devotional:- "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God". (V. 2)

    So many children of God still feel timid and not courageous to preach the gospel because they feel they are bad to people. They feel that people may not receive them because of their poor character before they believed. It is important we keep working on our character but that should not stop you from preaching to others. If God could use Paul, the apostle, then He can use anyone.

Instead of letting this become an excuse, we all need to keep working on our character and attitude. Though this is not in our power but our deliberate effort is very crucial. You need to know that character formation is from your background, which forms your beliefs, your beliefs forms your habit, and your habit forms your character.

So start to study the word of God to change your beliefs. Take the word of God as your new faith (Romans 10:17). Form the habit of following the word and your character will start to change (Psalm 19:7). Be committed to your fellowship with God and the church, then your transformation will be evident. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, transform me by your word

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
