RELEASING OTHERS

RELEASING OTHERS Matthew 18:21-35   Devotional:- "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses” (V. 35) NKJV Men can easily shout, “Away with him, kill him,” to others because they are not the offender. Very many parents will bitterly discipline their children for an offence they too have committed in the past, for which they were not killed. It is always easy to be a judge, though most judges cannot stand the face of trial. That is why the word of God instructs us not to judge others (Matthew 7:1-6). The scripture we read today reveals the wickedness of men. A man who owed his master so much, just like we all owe God so much. He was forgiven by his master, but cannot forgive his fellow servant. He rather locked him up in police custody for torment. His master heard and also reversed his decision on him for judgement.  Friend, who are the people you have refused to forgive? No matter what they...

FOLLOW UP

FOLLOW UP

Act 15:36-41
Devotional:- Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing. (V. 36)

Preaching the gospel is sowing the seed of soul winning. The souls won are the harvest but there is a need for continuous watering of the soul.  That is what follow-up does to the souls. It is returning to see to their growth and well-being. It is an attempt to make them have a company of care and concern.

Paul and Barnabas have been greatly helped by the Lord in their missionary work. But there came a time they need to return to water the seed through follow up. Though two of them have to go separately yet the work was strengthened.

As we also ministered to souls and they are won to the Lord, we must learn the act to follow up. This is taking time to check out on their growth and well-being. This is also important even for those who are already in the church. That way their soul will be established and blessed. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, give me the great success in Kingdom work

“A CONVERT NOT FOLLOWED UP CAN BE BACK IN THE MESS”.
