LEARN AND RELATE

LEARN TO RELATE Romans 12:14-21  Devotional:- “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited” (v. 16) NIV. We live in a world today that promotes youthful excesses more than that of the mature. We do this in the name of youthful innovations. That is why no office wants to employ relatively old individuals any more. It’s a competitive world. This is making a greater percentage of the world fail in the area of relationships. This is because it is a youthful idea to think you don’t need others. The world of this age is trying to build self-sufficient people. This is the reason many have not learnt the wisdom of relationships. For this reason, today, many people don’t have a home. Many have lost their job and joy. Many have missed many opportunities. The scripture we read today teaches us the right attitude to enjoy a relationship with others. Be careful of pride or overvaluing yourself (Romans 12:...

SPIRITUAL EARS

SPIRITUAL EARS

Matthew 13:10-16
Devotional:- “For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.'” (V.15) NKJV

Your Spiritual ears are quite different from your physical ears. If you don’t understand the things of the spirit, it will be difficult to hear God. Please know that spirits don’t have our kind of physical ears. Also, understand that you are a spirit being, though you dwell in the body. Spiritual ears are the ears of your Inner Man or your spirit being.

Please know that the Holy Spirit is living in you as a child of God (1 Corinthians 12:3), so his voice comes from within you. You must grow to hear Him speak to you (John 10:3-5). You, as a believer, have to know the characteristics of His voice. The voice of God is the word of God. i.e. God will not speak contrary to His word. The voice of God, when it comes, will give peace to your heart. This is because your spirit will agree with it (Psalm 85:8).

When you know you need to hear Him, look for a quiet place, ask Him and then listen to Him. He has promised to always answer you anytime you ask Him(Jeremiah 33:3). His voice often comes in as a thought as you wait for His answer to your questions. As you keep listening to Him, you start to grow in hearing Him. From now you will hear Him expressly in Jesus' Name.

Prayer: Lord, open the ear of my Spirit man to hear you well from now on.
