THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. ARE YOU READY

ARE YOU READY?

Deuteronomy 20:5
Devotional:- "Then the officers shall speak to the people, saying: 'What man is there who has built a new house and has not dedicated it? Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle and another man dedicate it” (V. 5) NKJV

Most Christians often want to overcelebrate their current victory. That sometimes does not make us realise that there are yet more lands to cover, more greatness to achieve and more progress to make. This also happened to the children of Israel in the time of Joshua, that they could not conquer all the lands.

The scripture we read today is a major reason many may not be able to receive all that God has prepared for them. Many are still celebrating the past achievement when they should have been ready for another.

Friend, it is important for you to know that where you are today is far from your destination. You must therefore be careful not to settle on the road. The way some Christians take their job, business, their new house, and car, you will know that they are not ready to go far.

I read of one of the richest men in the world who has the biggest private jet company in the world, but had never entered one before. Get ready, there is more land to cover. Stop over-celebrating the little. Be more committed to the Lord; Keep building yourself in God and you will enter your portion. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always be ready.
