PURPOSE OF LOVE

PURPOSE OF LOVE Romans 5:6-11 Devotional:- “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us..” (V. 8). NKJV Sometimes we make such a mistake as loving only our lovers. We do not often think that by this we fulfill the Law of Moses and not the law of grace, loving only those who love us and probably hating those who hate us. But this is not true love. If you understand the purpose of love, you will know that love is not needed when everyone is perfect, but most needed because we are not. The scripture we read today demonstrates one of the greatest acts of God’s love to us. And this is a revelation of God’s love to you. Even though you commit sin and He hates sin, yet He loves you. It is for your sake that He sent Jesus, His only son, to die on the cross. See, people may hate you for one reason or another, but God loves you. He so much believed in you that He had to give up His son to die for your sake (1 John 4:9-10). ...

POSITIVE SPIRIT

POSITIVE SPIRIT                                    Philippians4:10-17  DEVOTIONAL:-“I have strength for all things through Christ who empowers me (I am ready for anything and equal anything, through Him who infuses inner strength into me, I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency” (V.13) AMPL

You need to keep a good spirit to earn the glory of God, and a good spirit is a positive spirit. Humans, being what we are, are always affected by our situation, and this tends to dictate our spiritual mood. This often happens because of our limited understanding of the ways of God.
Many of us are also affected by environmental influences, and multitudes will rather believe in the philosophy of men than the word of God.

Friend, you need to know that your spirit mood goes a long way in interpreting to God whether you believe Him or not. We also need to know that no matter how things look, God is still the same (Hebrews 13:8). He is working for your good (Romans 8:28). He cares for you (Lamentation 3:21-23). You therefore need to fix your mind and trust in His support for you. Say it to yourself all the time and in every situation, “I can, I will make it”, “I will succeed and overcome”. Don’t ever see yourself as not capable in any case from now on, so that you will not miss your opportunities. Through His strength, you can do all things. Don’t look down on yourself, look above your weaknesses, challenges and situations. Don’t you ever say you can’t, for with God all things are possible.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always see myself able in you.
