THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. CALLING HIS NAME

CALLING HIS NAME

Philippians 2:5-10
Devotioonal:- “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name” (v.9) NKJV

One of the believers’ weapons of warfare is the name of Jesus. The Bible calls it a strong tower. Anytime the righteous runs into it, he will find refuge and be saved (Proverbs 18:10). This name is not just ordinary or common, as some people think, but it is a name that has been given to silence all other authorities and powers. David recognised this and declared it to the face of Goliath that he had come in the name of the Lord (1 Samuel 17:45). That is, the name of the Lord of hosts of heaven. Calling that name brings the heavenly host against your enemy.

The name is respected in heaven, on earth, in the sea and the sky. It works everywhere. It is the only name that offers salvation from every situation (Acts 4:12). In times of confrontation, it is a name you must learn to declare aloud. If you are ashamed to do that, it is your fault. Death and sickness must bow to that name (Romans 6:9). Jesus had swallowed death up in victory.

As you call on that name at any time, you gain the attention of heaven’s army ready to fight in your battle. So learn to call that name every time and everywhere, even in your dreams, and you will always find victory.

Prayer: Lord, let your name always work wonders in my life.
