THE HEART OF WORSHIP

THE HEART OF WORSHIP Romans 6:1-14 Devotional:- “And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God” (V. 13) Since worship is our first purpose on earth we need to know that worship will not be worship if we don’t surrender to God. So, surrendering is the heart of worship. In our world today, surrender sound negative. It could mean to give up or losing or admit your defeat. But it is giving ourselves to God not out of fear or necessity but in love (1 John 4:9-19). Three things often attempt to block our mind from total surrendering to God, fear, pride and confusion. As kingdom citizen, please know it that you must learn to trust God. A woman will not be able to surrender to her husband if she does not trust him and so also you to God. To truly surrender to God, you must admit your weaknesses and limitations. That is when you truly want to ask ...

HARVEST IN FAMINE

HARVEST IN FAMINE

Genesis 26:1-14
Devotional:- Then the LORD appeared to him and said: "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you” (V.2) NKJV

Human migrations are always caused by many factors but one of the strongest is when there is famine in a land. Human reasoning will tell us that wise people should move to another place. The poor are always the victims of such. So, Isaac thought it wise to move to the land of Egypt where there was much food.

But God told him to remain in the land and that He would be with him (Genesis 26:3). There was nothing on the ground to prove that God would do what He said but His faithfulness. There are no evidential circumstances to encourage Isaac. All the weather forecasters have said the farming will be long. Many rich people who could afford the cost of traveling to Egypt were migrating in thousands. But God said that Isaac should wait. And that year he had his miracle harvest.

This is your year. Don’t follow the multitude. Stay where God asked you to stay. It is not where you are but who you are that matters to God. The place people called barren shall be fruitful for you. You shall wax great in the land. Your harvest shall be hundredfold. The most important thing is, you are doing what God is asking you to do. And men shall envy your blessing.

Prayer: Lord, help me to obey you no matter what.

“NO MATTER THE SITUATION WHEN GOD SPEAKS THAT IS THE FINAL”
