  HOPING IN GOD Psalms 71:4-14  Devotional:- “For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth” (V.5) NKJV In today's world, many people are finding it difficult to put their hope in God. This is because they have waited for a few times, which to them is rather too long (Proverbs 13:12). And now they’ve made their calculation that if they have hoped in God for these three years and nothing is coming forth, then what is the need for continuing to hope? It is why many people in civilised nations have been living their lives unwilling to carry God along. We often forget that without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). Everything we can do or shall do should be by His permission. The most common error among Christians is that we often don’t understand the power of hope or the difference between hope and faith. FEAR

FEAR 

Matthew 8:23-27
Devotional:- “Bt He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm” (V.26) NKJV

    Fear is created with us for something good, to fear and refrain from doing evil because you know the judgment of God on evil. This is the fear of God. The consequences of evil are never good. This is referred to by Solomon as the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). This is the fear that will not want us to disobey God (Genesis 39:9). This makes us afraid to do evil, but when sin dwells in the heart of people, they now live in fear because they are not able to do what is good. For this reason, the son of God came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). One of those works of the devil is fear over many things.

In the scripture we read today, Jesus rebuked the disciples for being afraid. Because of their fear, they could not use their faith to stop the storm. Jesus expected them to know that since He was in the boat and they couldn't perish.

See, you have to trust God to the point of letting Him handle what you cannot handle. Refuse to be afraid; since God is with you. If God be for us who can be against us (Romans 8:31). You better stop that fear. All that the devil is aiming is to shake your faith (Luke 22:31 -32), but when you refuse to fear, he will give up on you.

Declaration: I shall no more be fearful in Jesus' name.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
