  MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. FEAR

FEAR 

Matthew 8:23-27
Devotional:- “Bt He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm” (V.26) NKJV

    Fear is created with us for something good, to fear and refrain from doing evil because you know the judgment of God on evil. This is the fear of God. The consequences of evil are never good. This is referred to by Solomon as the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). This is the fear that will not want us to disobey God (Genesis 39:9). This makes us afraid to do evil, but when sin dwells in the heart of people, they now live in fear because they are not able to do what is good. For this reason, the son of God came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). One of those works of the devil is fear over many things.

In the scripture we read today, Jesus rebuked the disciples for being afraid. Because of their fear, they could not use their faith to stop the storm. Jesus expected them to know that since He was in the boat and they couldn't perish.

See, you have to trust God to the point of letting Him handle what you cannot handle. Refuse to be afraid; since God is with you. If God be for us who can be against us (Romans 8:31). You better stop that fear. All that the devil is aiming is to shake your faith (Luke 22:31 -32), but when you refuse to fear, he will give up on you.

Declaration: I shall no more be fearful in Jesus' name.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
