WORK IT OUT

WORK IT OUT Romans 8:18-30  Devotional:- “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (V. 28). NKJV Due to the time and distance that is involved in our period of challenges, we tend to think it is an eternal race. But that is not true. Whatever has a beginning surely have an end. Therefore, there is an end to everything. And we know the end is always glorious than the beginning (Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:30). The scripture we read today brings us into God’s provision for our beautiful end in every situation and that is why the bible says all things are working together for our good. So no matter the embarrassment of your situation, God’s love letter to you is promising you that it shall work for your good. Do you lose a job or an opportunity? It is for a better one. So you don’t need to die for that. Let the past pass and expect your coming beauty. It doesn’t matter; people may mock you now,...

PRIDE

PRIDE

2 Kings 14:7-14
Devotional:- “You have indeed defeated Edom and your heart has lifted you up. Glory in that and stay at home for why should…you fall and Judah with you” (V. 10)

As much as the advancement we have seen in the development of the world and even your personal development, do you know that it will be wrong to think we have made it by our power (Deuteronomy 8: 11 – 20)? God is still in control of the affairs of men and He directs all things according to His will (Daniel 4:25). When people become proud, they will lose their focus on God to self and faith will no longer be necessary till they are destroyed.

King Amaziah of Judah as we read today has conquered some nations and he became proud. He wanted to fight Israel his sister nation contrary to the plan of God. The king of Israel warned him but his heart was proud and he faced the consequences.

Friend, pride is a trick of the enemy not to let you see the need for God, but to let you see yourself okay without Him. Watch out! If you give in to pride, the devil will only set you up without God for destruction (Proverb 11:2; 16:18). Please humble yourself to stay with your spouse. Don’t become rude, do not jump out in pride, be wise and you will prevail at last.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from pride.
